Noòoooooo I could ,my scream echoed through the hospital wall as the news of my mum death pierced something deep down my stomach
, oh this couldn't be true I asked as if the evidence was not brought before me,the certificate claiming the death of my mother.
Hot tears pricked down my eyes as I was visibly shaking,you wouldn't blame me though,but I am more close with my mom than dad. This added to the fact that I couldn't take this to heart ,tayo and adanna stood with me throughout my mum's funeral but my dad never appeared once which got people wandering if the man really loved his wife,even the immediate family members of my dad couldn't help but wonder what on earth is wrong with the old man. I was going to my mum's colleagues who had come for the funeral when the voice of someone chuckling interrupted me and made me halt in my tracks to know the source of the inappropriate attitude such person was giving in the midst of a person fyneral.
As soon as reached the door that I could have thought the noise was coming from oly to realise I was the one being discussed and laugh,and the person discussing me was no other person than my best friend adanna. I pushed open the door only to meet adanna with a shock expression on her face,but she was quick in masking her shocked expression with a fake tear and sniffle.
Adanna was my friend and I wouldn't be seen as an ungrateful person who mistook her friends sympath for something else,but deep down me I knew I had to be careful of who I trust(Adanna and tayo included). Adanna and someone I don't know must be up to something very terrible which could hurt me.
