First Encounter

Greco’s POV

I’m here right now at the coffee shop, waiting for Johnny. And oh speaking of…..

“Hey dude, what’s up?! You know what, I don’t know and I don’t really understand why I’m here? Why we are here? I thought we are going to a club, party all night and drinking?!

Oh god! He’s like a woman! “Johnny, are you serious? Club? Drinking? At this hour?” It’s just 3PM in the afternoon. “And please Johnny, I just need a friend right now....”

“Woaaaaah! Woaaaaah! Dude, relax, I just find it weird; we are her in a COFFEE SHOP, I’m just not used to it. And you need a friend huh? Hahahaha. Why dude? Heart problem?!! “ He laughed as he teased me.

“No. Family problem.” I said with still a serious tone and face, because yeah this is really something serious. I just hate the situation. I hate my dad. I hate seeing my mother cry!

“Ohhhh, you know I’m not a family problem nor relationship adviser. I’m just a fun junkie dude. So you know what dude, let’s just have fun, well atleast here at the COFFEE SHOP, because you will not forget about your problems if we will continue to talk about it, right dude? Johnny said. Well, he has a point there.

“Fine! I’ll order now, what do you want? My treat!”

“Espresso Double Shots, please sir hahahaha” I smiled for a bit after he said that. Then I stood up to order. But then, while walking to the counter, Johnny called me, he’s trying to say something but I can’t understand him. So I’m like walking backwards to the counter now, until *boooooggsssssh* . “Oh shiiiii----". Someone bumped into me and her coffee just poured out in my polo shirt!

Celeste’s POV

I entered the coffee shop and saw Jessica.

“Hey Jess!” We kissed each other.

“Jess, thank you so much again for letting me use your laptop, AGAIN. I really don’t know what to do without you.” I sighed.

“Celeste, you thanked me for a million times already! No biggies, you know, we are like sisters already, right?”  I smiled. Haaaaaay I’m so blessed to have this woman as my friend.

“So let’s start with our review for our long test in Introduction to Film?”

“Yeah, but wait, Celeste, let’s order first.”

“Ah no, Jess, I’m okay. But you can order yours of course”.

“Celeste, no, you will order a coffee also, I won’t take no for an answer. We will have to study a lot of things in Introduction to Film right? Plus you will need to finish your term paper, you’ll get hungry and thirsty for sure. Don’t worry it’s my treat.” Jessica insisted. I’m too shy now, she has done a lot big favors to me.

“Jessica, you have done so much for me, you don’t have to treat me.”

“Celeste, I just said, we’re like sisters already, don’t be shy. So what’s your order?”

“Yours? I mean whatever is your order, that’s my order too. And do you want me to order in the counter instead.”

“Okay then, caramel macchiato and banana cookies” She said as she gave me the money. I stood up and started walking to the counter. I placed our orders, until I got the two caramel macchiato coffee. But there’s someone walking backwards and suddenly we bumped into each other. Then *booooogshhh* “Oh shiiiiiii----”

“Oh my goodness”. Jessica also noticed what happened and she immediately went to me. “Oh my god, Jessica, I’m so sorry.” I felt guilty and responsible for our coffee, I just wasted Jessica’s money. Damn!

“Wow! So you’re saying sorry to her, what about to me? Aren’t you going to say sorry?” The man who was actually walking backwards a while ago said and that actually pissed me off.

“Wow just wow!! You are the ones who are so weird to walk backwards, and now it’s my fault. You know what, if I were you just replace our coffee!

“Oh, so it’s my fault now, you saw me right? You should be the one who avoided me. And do you know how much this shirt is? Can you actually pay me?”

“How dare you insult me!!! Who do you think you are???!!!” I nearly slapped the man, oh my god, he’s so arrogant!! Good thing Jessica stopped and calmed me. And someone, I think the man’s friend also stopped him.

At the end, they just paid and replaced our coffee. And about his freaking polo shirt, I don’t care! I don’t even give a damn! You arrogant.

“Oh, there, your coffee madam, again, I’m sorry okay? You’re right, it’s my fault. Okay?” He offered his hand for a shake hands, but I rejected it. I f I know he’s the kind of person who is very disrespectful and arrogant. Jessica took his hand instead. Well, I already know why. The man is handsome, that’s why.

Jessica and I sat down in our table. “Hey girl, I think your super mean in that part, they said sorry and replaced our coffee, anyway, just let it go. You’re taking it seriously.” She said and laughed.

“Jessica, if I know you have a crush on that guy, that’s why you are like that. Right?”

“Well yes, but admit! He’s handsome and looks like a prince, a real-life prince charming, right?” Jessica said, teasing me while enjoying her coffee and cookies. I gave the man a glare, “it’s not enough that he’s handsome. He should know how to treat a woman right. That’s what my dad told me.”

“But atleast you agreed that he is handsome!” The naughty friend of mine continues to teased me.

Greco’s POV

Johnny laughed at me after the incident. “Why are you laughing?”. “Well, dude, you are really the man but not today. You didn’t get the girl with your so called charm.” He laughed and teased me.

I smiled for a bit. I simply looked at the girl who I bumped into a while ago in their table. I don’t know but I automatically uttered, “well, atleast she’s beautiful and that’s what I like in girls----- girls who have the fighting spirit, that's what my mom taught me.”
