"The cut is from an alpha's claw, so it will take time to heal." Elder Thomas replied. Annie looked at him and placed her hand on his. Suddenly, a stretch mark appeared on her hand, and she began to draw the pain to herself. "What is she doing?" Helena asked, frightened that Grey might get worse. "That is impossible." Elder Thomas shouted in disbelief. It has been a long since they have seen a healer. " What? Can you tell me what the hell she is doing to my fiance, old man?" Helena shouted at Thomas. "Will you keep quiet? Will your shouting save him?" Elder Thomas shouted at her, and she kept quiet. Derrick walked in and was surprised to see what was going on. " Sheila! Get away from him." He shouted and held her hand. Annie Beng, in her healing state, looked at Derrick, and her eyes glowed. "You need to calm down. She is in the process of healing your brother." Elder Thomas said he was holding his hands. "She is in no position to heal anyone when she is dying herself," Derrick shouted in annoyance, pulling her off him. Annie fell to the floor, coughing out blood. "Can you see what I just talked about? I said she was in no position to heal anyone, let alone Grey. Besides, that serves him right. He should have gone against me in the first place." Derrick shouted Grey got up slowly and looked at his stomach, which had healed up. "What happened?" He asked, looking at Annie on the ground. "Yes, she heard you; that is the right word you are looking for." Elder Thomas replied. "But that is not possible. We haven't seen a healer in the last one hundred years. So how come?" Derrick wanted to lift Annie, but Grey stood in his way. She is mine now, and I won't allow you to touch her. Derrick looked at Elder Thomas. "Can you tell him to move? I don't want to have to use force again this time around." Elder Thomas looked at both brothers, and history was repeating itself all over again. Helena looked at Derrick. "She is not Sheila, Alpha Derrick. This is Annie." She shouted in anger, seeing she was losing Grey to her. " Annie? Are you sure about this?" Alpha Derrick asked in anger. " Don't!" Grey shouted at her. "She isn't who she claimed to be," Helena shouted, standing her ground, saying that Annie was a fake. Annie opened her eyes gently and was surprised to see everyone shouting. "Can you stop arguing for once? My head is clanging." She said she was slowly getting up to her feet. Grey supported her and helped her sit down. "Is it true, Sheila? You are not Sheila." Alpha Derrick asked, clenching his fist in anger. "Who are you?" He shouted in anger. Annie steadied herself, feeling overwhelmed by the intensity of the situation. She looked at Derrick with a mixture of hurt and determination in her eyes. "My name is Annie, and yes, I am not Sheila," she confessed, her voice trembling slightly. "But that doesn't change the fact that I helped heal you and also helped restore balance to the kingdom." Derrick's expression darkened with anger and betrayal. "You lied to me," he accused, his voice sharp with resentment. "You deceived us all, infiltrating our pack under pretenses." Annie held her ground, meeting Derrick's gaze with unwavering resolve. "I didn't mean to deceive anyone. I came here seeking refuge, not intending to cause any harm. I had plans of getting the money to heal myself and leave for good," she explained, her voice tinged with desperation. "She had earned her place here. She even healed me and cured you of madness. Isn't that enough to show she has a good heart?" Derrick walked out in annoyance, leaving Annie stunned. Helena had thought he was going to tear her to shreds, or better yet, tell her to leave the pack. Elder Thomas saw Grey was healed, and Annie decided to walk out and let them talk. "I need to get some air. This is a lot for me to process." Annie said, gently walking out on Grey as Helena. Zane ran towards the infirmary and saw Helena and Grey looking at each other. Their gaze is intense. "I told you to keep your mouth shut! How dare you? What if my brother had gone insane again? What are you going to do about it?" Grey shouted at her. "Leave now! I don't want to see you ever again." Helena looked at him. "Tell me you are joking. Are you seriously going to kick me out because of that fake girl?" "A fake girl brought balance to the kingdom. My brother has been sick for a while now, but she has healed him. She might be fake to you, but she helped the kingdom by putting her resources to good use for you. What have you done for this kingdom?" Grey shouted at her. Zane stood still looking at both of them, and didn't know what to say or do. "Before I come back, you had better be gone because you don't know what I am going to do if I come back and meet you still in this kingdom." Grey walked past Zane in annoyance. "And you? What are you standing there for? Get her things and throw her out of the kingdom." Helena stood fixed. She looked at Grey and thought he would turn back like he had always done, but he didn't. "I told you to keep your mouth shut. Can't you at least do that for us?" Zane hesitated for a moment, torn between his loyalty to Grey and his feelings for Helena. Finally, he sighed heavily and nodded, knowing he had no choice but to follow Grey's orders. "I'm sorry, Helena," he said softly, his voice filled with regret. "I'll help you gather your things. I have a few friends in the Red Moon pack. I can talk to one of them about allowing you to stay." Helena's expression softened slightly, realizing the gravity of the situation. She nodded silently as she felt betrayed. She gathered her belongings with Zane's help. Despite her anger and frustration, she couldn't help but feel a pang of loneliness leaving the only home she had ever known. "How can he throw me out just because of that good-for-nothing slave girl? she is going to pay for all of this, and Derrick isn't who I had thought him to be. How can he be so weak? he should have had her thrown out of the kingdom when he found out she wasn't Sheila." As Zane escorted Helena out of the kingdom, she couldn't help but glance back one last time, her heart heavy with the weight of her mistakes. She knew she had brought this upon herself, but the sting of rejection still cut deep. Meanwhile, back inside the kingdom, Grey watched Helena's departure with a heavy heart, knowing that their relationship was now irreparably damaged. Yet he couldn't shake the feeling of relief that, finally, he could focus on his responsibilities without the distraction of her toxic influence. He looked at Annie, and their eyes met. "Thank you." She said it gently as he walked away from her without saying a word. Their meeting had been unplanned, and their fates were entwined. Annie, feeling a little tired and drained of some energy, entered her room to get some water. She looked around to make sure she didn't collide with Derrick. Turning away from the scene, Grey made his way back to his quarters, his mind swirling with thoughts of Annie and the revelations that had unfolded. Despite the chaos and uncertainty, he couldn't deny the spark of hope that had ignited within him. a hope for a brighter future, guided by truth and integrity. He also believed it could be the start of something new between him and Annie. He decided to drink a few bottles of alcohol before retiring to his bed. Annie, who cannot sleep, also walked out to have some water. As she got to the jar of water, She looked at Grey, who was feeling intoxicated from the alcohol he had been drinking. He walked towards Annie. "You are still awake?" He asked, staggering a bit forward. "Yes, I can't sleep," Annie replied. She looked at Grey, who was able to fall. She quickly cut him, and both of them stared at each other. Annie could feel her heart beat steadily against her rib cage. "Is it finally happening? Is this where he kissed me gently?" She soliloquize to herself.
