Akame POV/ a few hours earlier

*After school

"So you going straight home? asked Ava.

"Yeah. i have nothing else to do."

"We should go shopping, there's this new bag I want and i also need some new clothes."

"I don't know, I'm not really in the mood for shopping after today."

"Oh come on. Is this because of that B**** Ashely, don't let someone like her ruin your day she isn't worth your time all she wants is attention."

*sigh "Yeah. your right. I guess we can go if you want, but first we should stop by my house and drop of our bags maybe my mom would let us borrow the car."

"yesss! said ava.

"onnie?

"Yes?

"Why are you so quiet. You haven't said a word."

"Oh it's nothing, i was just thinking."

"Of what?

"About Ashley."

"Why? said ava.

"I just don't know why she became the way she is now."

"What do you mean? i asked.

"She didn't use to be like this. She was kind when we where younger."

"Wow wow wow wow. What?! Were you friends before?

"Long time ago, but then one day she changed. She started dressing different, she join the cheer team, she became so mean, and completely shut me off. I don't know why."

"You don't need her Onnie you have us now." said Ava with a big smile and wrapping her arms around onnie.

"Let's just not think of negative stuff right now and go shopping. i said.

"Hell yeah. Ava said. Which made me and onnie laugh.

We finally made it to my house i introduced my friends to my mom, and of course i didn't tell her about what happened today. All that would do is worry her so i decided to keep it to myself. She let me borrow the car and i drove us to the mall, we went to a few stores and bought a few things well at least me and Onnie did—Ava got a little excited, but is fine she got a lot of pretty things that she is willing to share with us except for her new purse she likes that to much to share.

"Ok guys one more store and then we leave my wallet is getting broke. i said.

"Haha ok that's fine, i was literally going to say that too." said ava.

"Onnie. What store do you want to go to?

"Uhh you guys can choose I'm good either way."

"In that case let's go to sephora!

"You sound way yo excited for that store Ava."

"haha that's because i am."

If I'm being honest i was a little excited too, i don't really wear makeup like that but i do like experimenting and seeing what colors look good on me. Ava already had a lot of things from that store i only got an eye shadow palette and Onnie got her a lip gloss. I started walking around to see if there was anything else i might want, but when i looked up i saw the boy from school. What was he doing here? Maybe buying something for his mom, or sister, or maybe girlfriend who knows. He kept looking around— was he looking for someone? I don't know. I decided to just mind my own business and keep looking around i turned on the other side of the make up and when i looked up he was in front of me. He almost bumped into me when he turn to face me, and all he was doing was staring at me. It was one of those cringy/cheesy moments, except I'm not in love with him.

"Akame." he said.

"uh. hi. I honestly didn't know what else to say.

"hi." he repeated. still looking at me. I started to feel a little nervous, this was just awkward for me.

"So.... What's up."

He smiled at me.

"You here with your friends?

"I am. you?

"Same. With they guy that was with me in lunch."

"Oh yeah.. kyle right?

"You learn his name."

"That's what Ashely called him when they where publicly talking about sex."

He laughed at that. I liked his laugh it made me smile. Oh my god what's happening to me.

"Well yeah his name is kyle."

"And you? You seem to know me but i don't know your name."

"Dylan."

"Ah ok."

"Yeah. So how you holding up?

"I'm good I guess."

"Good."

"So i was wondering why you and your friend kept me from kicking her ass today, is she like of limits or something?

"haha what? Of limits? No way. She does deserve to be put in her place sometimes, I've seen the way she treats people."

"Yet you guys like sleeping with her."

"wow. No. That's all Kyle, and if I'm being honest she isn't really the type of girl I'll go for. I like strong girls."

"She is strong."

"Ok fine. I like strong girls with a Good personality.

"hmm."

*chuckled "What does hmm mean."

"What makes you think it means something?

"Just by the way you hmm it."

I laughed. He was a very easy person to talk to, like i know i felt awkward at first but after a while it felt natural to talk to him. It looked like he was going to say something else but was interrupted by his friend.

"Dude. Where you been i was looking everywhere for you, why didn't you answer the phone?

"Sorry i was talking with Akame. said dyl tilting his head toward me.

"Hi." I said.

He completely ignored me.

"Why the hell are you in a makeup store?

"Dude chill. Go wait over there. said dylan.

"No. I'm ready to go i got my stuff and I already waited for you. If you want to sleep with the girl just tell her so we can go— here I'll ask for you. Do you want to sleep with dylan?

That question took me by surprise. I didn't know what to say to that, and dylan looked as shocked as i did.

"Dude what the f***! What's your problem ? said dylan.

"What? is a yes or a no question, she should be grateful we're even asking."

"Excuse me? Who the hell do you think you are? I said.

"Sorry I'm not interested.

"What?

"I only give my name to girls that i find attractive, you should wear less clothes maybe I'll consider giving you a chance then."

"Ok. First of all i know your name, second what the hell makes you thing i would ever be interested in someone like you , and third you sound stupid — are you stupid or do you just pretend to be stupid to get attention?

"Sweet heart. I don't need to pretend, i get the attention everywhere i go."

"No wonder you became such an arrogant a*******."

"Why do i feel like your flirting with me?

"Are you kidding me right now? Ok bye. I couldn't believe this guy what hell is his problem. I had enough listening to him so i turn around to leave and walked away.

"Akame! Wait! i hear dylan call after me but i didn't stop i didn't even get the things i wanted, i just put everything back and walked out the store.

"Akame what happened, i saw you talking to some guy and then the other one showed and you just left." said ava.

"It was the two guys from school. i said.

"What did they want?

"Well the one with black hair wanted to irritate me."

"And the other?

"Nothing. we where just talking."

"Talking huh?

"shut up is not what you think."

"Whatever you say. By the way i like your necklace."

"Thanks. Mom gave it to me."

"Was it a birthday gift."

"No. I don't know to be honest, I've had it since i was little."

"Do you ever take it off?

"No. I did once mom panicked and made me put it back on, she has one just like mine she said it'll keep us safe, its like a good luck charm for her."

"What does it mean to you?

"Mmm i just feel closer to my mom, like we're connected as long as i wear it."

"That's nice."

"Yeah. We should go look for onnie.

"I'm here. You guys ready to go?

"Yup. i said.

"Oh. Akame i got you this. said onnie.

it was the pallet i wanted.

"Onnie... You didn't have too."

"Its fine. I know you wanted it."

"Here I'll pay you back."

"No its fine, its not a big deal."

"Are you sure?

"Yeah."

"Ok then but next time I'll buy you something."

she smiled "deal."

Ava's POV:

I finally made it home. I had fun with Onnie and Akame, sometimes i forget that hanging out with akame is just part of my job as her protector.

"Mom... I'm home!

"How was school?

"Mmm it was ok. Where's dad?

"He's in the back."

I went to our backyard. Really is more of an open field with trees, our house is huge. It has to be for us to train and run around. I play a game with my dad where i have to find him or he finds me, whoever tackles each other first wins. I kept walking deeper and deeper into the little wanna be forest we have. I know he is somewhere in here, i stopped walking and i listen he is good being super quite, He's trying to get the jump on me but I'm faster. I feel him running behind me— he's coming straight at me. He almost had me but i jumped flip forward and pushed him down as hard as i could, but it wasn't enough he flipped me and hold me down with his paw.

"You cheated." i said.

he backed off.

"How exactly did i cheat? i heard him say in my mind.

"Because you where in your wolf form."

"That has nothing to do with it, i beat you before in human form."

"ugh whatever dad.*

My dad, me, and the rest of my family are werewolves. My dad is the biggest his fur is gray. Mom is a dark brown, my little brother is also a brown but a lighter brown, and I'm gray like my dad but with a little white. I turned around so that dad could change.

"So. How are things with Akame?

"There good, she's a good person fun to be around."

"Good. Keep looking after her, keep her out of trouble."

"I know what I'm doing dad."

"Was she wearing the necklace i told you about?

"Yes."

"Did you ask her about it?

"She never takes it of, she sees it as a way go stay closer to her mom."

"That's good."

"Dad why can't we tell her the truth?

"Ava. You know why."

"No i don't. All i know is that there's someone after her but i don't know who or why they would want her."

"The less you know the better."

"Better for who? Not for me or you, And it sure as hell not better for her."

"Ava. I told you as much as you needed to know because i trust you."

"Yes i know and you can trust me. I just feel like the more you hide things from her the more danger she's in. How would she know to protect her self when she doesn't even know what she is. She's a wolf right i mean she has to be. She's my cousin —your niece."

"THAT'S ENOUGH! I don't want to keep talking about it with you just do as I ask and keep her out of trouble."

"Fine. I said walking always but before I left i looked over my shoulder and i said

"How does it feel when she calls you Mr. Williams instead of uncle?

And that was it. he looked at me and i could see the pain the sadness that he always tries to hide. I know how he feels, i finally after all these years got to meet my cousin and she doesn't even know who i am.
