Alpha Sif’s Point of View I observed the girl advancing fearlessly towards the Pack's house and I only imagined how rich, influential and powerful my kingdom would grow when we had her actively involved in our affairs. She looks bold, though elegant and graceful, and she replicated her father, which reminded me of our friendship back then before their annihilation. Alpha Stones was my childhood friend and was very kind towards my Pack during his days. I can particularly remember his act of kindness towards my family. Thus, any amount of help deemed useful for his daughter’s safety isn't too much. Least I forget, there was a prophecy about the Phoenix Wolf being birthed in the Stone's family, and she is the only child of the stones. That means we're in possession of one of the Phoenix Wolves in our Pack, and that was commemorable. I couldn't contain my excitement. Very soon, I'll grow to be the most powerful Alpha in the history of werewolves. For now, let me play along and use her to build my kingdom, I thought aloud. While still pondering, I was interrupted by one of my delta, Becky. Yea, I had anticipated her presence long before now, and I needed to collaborate with her in order to make the best use of the Phoenix wolf in our midst. Thus, she was ushered in immediately on her arrival by one of the enforcers as I had given out stern instructions to my enforcer on duty. Perhaps she had been taken aback by my need to meet with her as I observed her advance with her eyes filled with uncertainty and swift motion. She walked in graciously accompanied by the stone girl and her daughter, Bridget. It was obvious that both were getting along happily as I observed them chatting and smiling relentlessly. You should know how melancholics behave when they meet their fellow melancholics, it's always a bow time for gist. She genuflected alongside Bridget, who prompted the stone girl to follow suit in regard to my rulership as required of every member of the pack. “Your majesty, the great and powerful Alpha Sif, I'm finally here as you requested my presence.” She straightened, as I signaled them to a seat. "Thank you your majesty," they reached out to their seats and sat graciously. Laced with smiles and affection, I muttered, “Is that Stone's daughter?” I beckoned, even though I wasn't anticipating replies. "Yes she is, your majesty," replied Becky, and signaled the young girl to move forward. "Hope you're enjoying your stay already," I propped, while stealing a glance as she nodded in anticipation. "Thanks for having my back, and making my safety your priority. I'm really grateful." She admonished me. “The pleasure is mine, my dear”. I responded. And yes, I was damn serious. The pleasure was mine. Who wouldn't rejoice to have a Phoenix Wolf in his custody? Many had prayed to have this opportunity, but the same never came. "Excuse me ladies, I'll be back in a moment with your mum," I excused, leading the way through to the inner chambers. "So, about the Stone girl, what do you know about her, and can you tell me more about her abilities?" I asked, trying to gain as much information as possible in order to know how best to utilize her powers for my good. “Your majesty, though Susan, from the Silver Claw Pack, informed me of prophecies about her existence, and the need to protect her from enemies, she never specified her special abilities, but let's believe with time, she'll be useful.” She explained. “So, for now, I think it's wise we enroll her in the special school for supernatural beings where she'll be taught the necessities of our Pack, including our rules and customs, she added, this will help her to connect better.” Becky suggested. "That's an excellent idea," I concurred. "So what name did you call her?" “She's Sapphire, your majesty” “Sapphire, wow, what an interesting name, she should be an interesting personality then,” I blabbed. “So, as regards her needs, if you're found wanting, reach out to me at any time, alright?” “Yes your majesty” she obliquely said. "I guess that should be all for now." Inasmuch as we conversed freely, I noticed her countenance switched immediately to that of a displeased or kind of tiresome mood, which instantly left her crampy. Was she confronted by any strange being? Or perhaps, did any of our discussion go foul? Hope all's going well, I asked. “I'm fine, your Majesty, I think I need to get some rest, I'm feeling some traces of migraine, that's all, I'll be fine,” She retorted. “You're sure about that?” I reiterated while she affirmed with her head. "Alright then, you may take your leave." She genuflected, took a step or two, and next I heard, thump!! Alerting everyone around which threw the Pack house into chaos, with many running in to check what went wrong. “Oh my goodness,” I exclaimed, while calling for the Pack’s Doctor. Doctor Blaze was smart, skilled and knowledgeable in his practice. He rushed in, meeting Delta Becky, Bridget and the stone girl wailing. “It's okay everyone, please kindly wait outside,” Dr. Blaze directed the enforcers to see them out in order to allow him to play his role of expertise accordingly. First, he pulled out his pair of gloves which were important to serve as a barrier towards transmission of infection, followed by his oximeter to check her pulse rate and oxygen saturation level. Luckily, her vitals were still active. I heard him ask some questions and also took some notes. He rose, after a few minutes of inspection. “Your majesty, we'll need to rush her to the Pack's hospital for more investigations,”. “That's okay,” I permitted. It was actually a long day, and from the turnout of events, something was wrong somewhere, and if not solved, may amount to a big disaster. I was still lost in thoughts, when the phone rang, it was an incoming call from the Pack's doctor. “Your majesty, three enforcers were just rushed to the hospital and from our investigations, I guess there's a traitor in our midst.” “A traitor?” “Yes, your majesty.” From our investigations, Delta Becky was poisoned with a wolfbane, and the same with the three enforcers. Who knows who will be next?
