Jordan’s point of view I woke up to the moistness of the earth, as I opened my eyes gradually the bright light of the sun piercing through the leaves on the branch of tree behind me met my eyes. I was lying on a bed of leaves, the canopy above casting dappled shadows across my face. The air was cool, and the sounds of the forest were oddly comforting. Flynn sat nearby, his eyes alert and watchful. “What happened?” I asked, my voice weak. “You fainted,” Flynn replied. “You must have exhausted yourself.” Where was I and why was I here, I tried to get up before recalling that I was on a mission. “ where is Sapphire?” I asked Flynn who was now up, “ she disappeared almost immediately you fainted. Jordan sat up slowly, his mind racing. I am not entirely sure of what make of the situation.
