Jordan’s point of view The shout by the teen had caused the whole activity to be halted, which left many people, especially the onlookers in the background, murmuring to each other about what exactly the issue could be. One of the enforcers had called out to the teen, who was panting heavily at the moment, due to the event he might have seen or from the long run. "What's the matter?" he asked while holding onto him to reduce his anxiety. I guess what he saw really messed up his mental health big time. I - I - I, he stammered, unable to express himself in words. Thus, he only pointed in a direction continuously as attempts to talk proved abortive. After a while of what I presume to have been an unrest, the chief elder continued, ignoring the teen who ran in suddenly. They may have presumed the action to be a scope employed by an enemy of the kingdom to stop the ceremony, due to one reason or another that no one may know. The Chief Elder snapped and continued, “Like I said earlier, the leader yet to be installed has journeyed through the recommended training; he or she has had encounters with the great spirit forces of the Lightsteel Ocean clean and has prevailed.” “So on that note, permit me to welcome him officially as he walks up to the stage for his inauguration and formal pronouncement. No other person than...” The elder hadn't even concluded his announcement when the chattering crowd rejoiced again. The sound of drums rolled in, with children and women displaying some colourful dance steps and singing along. The Chief Elder, after being patient for a while, raised his hands, and all the drums and commotion came to a standstill. “So, permit me to welcome no other person but one of our best youngsters, Jordan Briggs. “Eeeeeeehhhhh!!!!! Eeeeehhhhh!!!!” Joyful screams came across the square. I could see many, especially my coursemates, who were particularly joyful and dancing alongside, though some also stood unperturbed. I was ushered to the stage, though with a mixed feeling. I couldn't control the tears surging out by now. “I never wanted this,” I sobbed. “I doubt my capabilities to protect this clan; can it be given to another?” I begged. From all indications, I wasn't ready for its responsibilities; that's why I had tried to run away from the clan in the first place, but here I was finally installed as the clan's head. I guess you should know by now what the cause of the tears was. “Permit me to also introduce the Oracle of the Lightsteel Ocean clan, Flynn,” the elder introduced, still arousing jubilation across the square. Flynn, who was already seated, walked over to where I stood and gave me a tight hug. He was a man engrossed with deep mysteries and looked like one who knew it all. Why wasn't he given the head in my stead? My thoughts wandered aloud. “I know you can do this,” he assured, as if he were reading through my mind. “I'm here to give you the necessary guidance and assistance you'll need, so be strong; you're capable.” Thus he shook my hand and voiced out, “to brotherhood," to which I also responded, “to brotherhood." I guess with his assurance, I could sense a bit of relief, and a calm feeling rushed through my soul. There stood already prepared two ladies who carried the installation materials in their hands, waiting for that moment; installation of the heads would take place. They were dressed in white but short and attractive dresses. Their shoes were off, but they had lovely silver beads that were shiny, and the Lightsteel Ocean inscription was adorned on their necks and legs. Of particular note was the uniformity in their attire, height, and complexion, which added beauty to their duty. Thus, at the Clan Elder's order, they matched forward in uniformity, as if they'd been trained specifically for this purpose. And lastly, the clan's elder, Zoe, in accordance with the high-ranking clan members who were already on their feet, surrounded us as they witnessed the rite about to be performed. First, Flynn was handed a scroll. “This scroll is symbolic of the ancient mysteries, knowledge, and authority you hold both in the natural and supernatural worlds.” “You must allow no one to have access to it, as it harbours superiority. The secrecy of your ordination must be maintained, and you must always contribute to the growth of the clan.” He gave his blessings, chattering some mystical words and placing his hand directly on his head. The blessing was interrupted by a sudden flash of thunder and lightning splashing in the square, sending the amused crowd into a state of fear and despair, although no one was hurt. According to my course study, this signified an acceptance and confirmation of power by the ordained. Though I had read of this in my courses, I never knew I'd be privileged to experience it firsthand. It was a good sign, though, and I was liking it already. Finally, it came my turn to be installed as the clan's head of the Lightsteel Ocean Clan, the much anticipated time. The clan's elder stepped directly in front of me, looking at me sternly, forcing a thrill of confusion in my thoughts. “You've been chosen to control the affairs of the clan; that's why you've been endowed with supernatural abilities to control water, create ice, and call on thunder. Your strength is second to none, and you've been mandated with the task of reuniting the werewolf kingdom.” Why do these sentences sound so familiar? Uuh, I suddenly recalled the chief elder's words when he called me into the secret chambers. He further added, “Remember, you've been saddled with great responsibilities; lastly, never give up on your pursuit for purpose.” He suddenly placed his hand on my shoulders, and I felt flushes of current enter my body, which suddenly threw me off and caused me to float in the air. As much as the crowd opened their mouths in astonishment as they starred, traces of despair and thrill could also be observed, hence an abrupt return to my position of installment and balance.
