“Reed!” I shout. “Can I talk to you?”
“But I want to talk to Dawn. I need to apologize…”
“Reed!”
I cover the distance between us with long strides. I grab him by the arm, and he tries to fight me.
“Let me say what he wants to say before you drag him out,” Dawn says, butting in.
“It’s not necessary; I don’t want him to stress you out at the moment,” I tell her and him with a hard, pointed look.
I successfully drag him out of the room and slam his back against the wall.
“Keep that mouth shut, Reed. I don’t want you ruining anything. Swallow that goddamn apology. Dawn doesn’t need it right now because she is in the process of healing.
