Shock has my eyes wide open as I stare at the stage.
Maggie giggles in excitement and steps closer to Reed.
“Of course, I will marry you!” She squeals, jumping up and down in excitement.
Reed puts the ring on her finger, and she jumps up to kiss him. They share a passionate kiss before they both raise Maggie’s left hand to show off the ring.
Everyone cheers and claps for the happy couple.
“Are you not cheering for the happy couple?” Vincent whispers in my ear, and I shake my head.
“Not interested,” I whisper back, and he chuckles.
I pick up another drink and down it to kill some of the shock. They are off the stage, and the party kicks on.
The couple interacts with people. Maggie shows off her huge rock to everyone they pass by as they chat and say their thank-you.
