Killian's POV “Did Isla call?” I asked again, my voice low but carrying as I was trying to cover the fear in it. It wasn’t the first time I asked, not even the fifth. I’d been pacing back and forth across the length of my room, eyes glued to the phone on the desk like I could make it ring if I stared hard enough. “Not yet, Alpha,” one of the guards said carefully.
