Liam's POV At a red light, I shoved the half burnt cigarette out the window, sparks scattering off the asphalt. My reflection stared back at me from the glass of the building across the street, hollow eyes, jaw clenched too tight. looked less like a Beta and more like some runaway thug. Maybe that’s all I was now. The airport signs showed up quicker than I expected. Blue arrows pointing me forward, spelling out Departures. Each one felt like a reminder that this was it, no turning back, no second chances.
