Her scream tore through me, sharp and accusing. “Traitor, you murdered the Alpha!”
Before I could even think of how to calm her, Daphne was already in front of me, her eyes blazing like a wild storm.
The slap came so fast that I couldn't even think of stopping her, loud and heavy enough to twist my face to the side. My jaw clenched. I tasted blood coming from my inner cheek.
