Isla's POV I lay still, my back pressed into the mattress, pretending to be lost in sleep. I ignored him again, lips barely twitching into the faintest smile under the cover. Then he tried again, softer. “Okay… can we just talk about what you wanted to tell me earlier? About proving Liam’s innocence?” That made me smile for real, though I kept my eyes shut.
