Sia's POV The room was sterile, with blinding white lights reflecting off the cold, metal surfaces. The hum of machines was the only sound, accompanied by the occasional beep of monitoring devices. Sia—now known as Emily Grace—lay restrained on a medical table, her wrists and ankles bound by heavy leather straps. Her heart pounded in her chest, each beat echoing in her ears as the reality of her situation settled in. She had been captured, dragged into this nightmarish place where the lines between science and horror blurred. Memories of the past were fragmented, interspersed with flashes of pain and confusion. She struggled to remember why she was here, what had led her to this point, but every attempt to piece together the truth was met with a sharp jolt of electricity from the device attached to her temple. “Stay still,” a voice commanded. Dr. Frank loomed over her, his expression cold and calculating. He adjusted the settings on the machine, increasing the intensity of the shocks. “We need you to cooperate, Emily. The more you resist, the more painful this will be.” Sia’s jaw clenched, but she refused to scream. She wouldn’t give them the satisfaction. But the pain was excruciating, ripping through her mind like shards of glass. Tears welled up in her eyes, but she blinked them away, focusing on the one thing that kept her grounded: Killian. Where was he? What were they doing to him? The thought of Killian—strong, stubborn Killian—enduring the same torment was almost unbearable. They had been through so much together, fought against impossible odds. But now… now she was trapped in this hell, and Killian was nowhere to be found. Dr. Frank’s voice cut through her thoughts. “You’re special, Emily. We’ve known that for a long time. Your connection with Killian, the bond you share, it’s unique. And it’s going to help us achieve something extraordinary.” Sia’s eyes widened as she realized what he was talking about. The experiments, the twisted fascination with human emotions and connections—it all made sense now. They were using her and Killian as subjects in some kind of perverse experiment, testing the limits of love and loyalty between a human and a clone. “They want to create a hybrid,” Sia thought, the realization hitting her like a ton of bricks. “A human-clone baby.” The concept was horrifying. She had heard rumors about such experiments, whispers among those who dared to question the ethics of cloning. But to be at the center of it, to be used as nothing more than a lab rat… it was more than she could bear. “No,” she managed to gasp, her voice barely audible. “You can’t… you can’t do this…” Dr. Frank smiled, a chilling expression that sent shivers down her spine. “Oh, but we can, Emily. And we will. The bond you share with Killian is the key. If we can harness it, replicate it, we’ll be able to create the perfect hybrid. A being with the best of both worlds.” He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. “And you, my dear, will be the mother of that new world.” Hours turned into days, and Sia lost track of time. The experiments continued, each one more invasive than the last. The scientists probed her mind, her body, searching for the secret to her connection with Killian. They injected her with strange substances, monitored her reactions, and subjected her to endless psychological tests. But Sia wasn’t alone. Somewhere in the facility, Killian was enduring the same torment. She could feel his presence, a faint echo in the back of her mind. It was as if their bond transcended the physical, connecting them on a deeper, almost spiritual level. The days blurred together in a haze of pain and confusion. The only constant was Dr. Frank, who watched over her with a clinical detachment that made her skin crawl. He was obsessed with the experiment, driven by a twisted desire to push the boundaries of science. One day, after yet another round of painful tests, Sia was left alone in her cell. She curled up on the cold, hard floor, her body trembling from exhaustion. Her thoughts drifted to Nolan, the man she had once trusted, the man who had disappeared without a trace. Did he even know what was happening to her? Would he care if he did? A soft knock on the door jolted her from her thoughts. The door creaked open, and to her surprise, it wasn’t Dr. Frank who entered, but a young woman with dark hair and a kind smile. She was dressed in the same sterile white uniform as the other scientists, but there was something different about her—something human. “Hello, Emily,” the woman said softly, her voice soothing. “My name is Dr. Elara. I’m here to help.” Sia blinked, struggling to understand. Was this some kind of trick? Another mind game designed to break her down? Dr. Elara seemed to sense her confusion. “I know you’ve been through a lot,” she said, kneeling beside Sia. “And I know you’re scared. But I want you to know that you’re not alone. There are people who care about you, people who want to see you free from this place.” Sia’s eyes filled with tears. For the first time in what felt like forever, she allowed herself to hope. “Why are you doing this?” she asked, her voice cracking with emotion. Dr. Elara hesitated, glancing over her shoulder as if to make sure they weren’t being watched. “Because I believe in what you and Killian have,” she whispered. “I believe that love, true love, is stronger than anything they can throw at you. And I’m going to help you prove it. The plan was risky, but Sia had no choice. Dr. Elara had smuggled a small vial into her cell, a substance that would temporarily incapacitate her during the next round of tests. It was their only chance to escape—if she could get the vial to Killian, they might stand a chance of getting out of the facility alive. The next day, as the guards came to escort her to the lab, Sia slipped the vial into her sleeve. Her heart pounded in her chest, adrenaline coursing through her veins. This was it—the moment they had been waiting for. But things didn’t go as planned. As soon as she entered the lab, she was ambushed. Dr. Frank was waiting for her, a sinister smile on his face. “Did you really think we wouldn’t find out?” he sneered, holding up the vial between his fingers. Sia’s blood ran cold. How had they known? Who had betrayed them? “I’m afraid your little rebellion ends here,” Dr. Frank said, his voice dripping with malice. He turned to one of the guards. “Bring in the clone.” Sia’s heart nearly stopped as a second figure was dragged into the room. It was her—an exact replica of her, down to the last detail. The clone’s eyes were vacant, devoid of any emotion, but there was no mistaking the resemblance. “We no longer need you, Emily,” Dr. Frank said, his voice cold and final. “This clone will take your place. She will carry out the experiment as planned. And you… you will be disposed of.” Panic seized Sia as the guards moved to restrain her, but she fought back with every ounce of strength she had left. “No! You can’t do this! Killian—!” But her screams fell on deaf ears. The last thing she saw before darkness claimed her was the emotionless face of her clone, staring back at her with hollow eyes. Foreshadowing Nolan's Role Nolan’s mission had taken him deep into the heart of the BPO’s operations, but he had seen things that disturbed him—things that made him question everything he was doing. The sight of Sia being dragged into that cell had been a wake-up call, a reminder of the woman he had once known and cared for. As he prepared for his next kill, a plan began to form in his mind. He couldn’t take down the BPO alone, but maybe, just maybe, he could save Sia. The thought of freeing her from the nightmare she was trapped in gave him a renewed sense of purpose. But time was running out, and the BPO was always one step ahead. If he was going to succeed, he would need to act fast. And he would need to make sure that Sia, the real Sia, was the one who walked out of that facility alive.
