AMELIA
I woke up by the light pouring in through the windows. Squinting my eyes a few times, I propped up from the bed I’m lying in to find out where I am.
This room looks so familiar to me. White walls, curtains, sheets... I realized I’m in one of the many rooms inside Vincent’s house.
I looked down to see that I’m no longer wearing the clothes from last night. I hear voices outside the cabin and its surely Vincent. He sounds upset.
The door opens and our eyes meet. The sight of him just leaves me breathless.
I see a slight smirk from his lip but it fades when he glanced behind to the person he’s speaking with “Don’t come back until you find out who ordered them.” He said curtly, then stepped inside the room and closed the door behind him.
“How are you feeling?” He inquires as he strode towards the bed.
“I think I’m okay. Where’s Leon and Alice?”
He sat on the foot of the bed, studying at me. “They’re okay. David took Alice and Leon to our house.” He informed.
“Thank you.” I responded, looking down. The wall that I worked so hard to build is slowly crumbling every second that Vincent is nearby.
“I missed you.” He whispers. I want to crawl on his lap, wrap my arms around him and tell him I missed him too, but I can’t seem to move.
He rose to his feet and walked around the bed to sit next to me. “I’m sorry, Amelia. I...” his voice trembles and it made me look at him. He narrows his eyes then closed it for a few seconds. It breaks my heart seeing him like this. He looks as if he’s troubled by something.
“You can tell me.” I coaxed.
He opened his eyes, “I only want you, Amelia. What happened between Rebecca and I is all in the past. I’m a mess.” He declared, eyes pleading.
“You’re not together anymore?” I asked.
“We were never together. I told you, I never had a girlfriend.” He reiterated. He looks straight into my eyes, leaning closer to me, “I’m not perfect and I don’t think I’ll ever be. I did f**k up things in the past and I’m...,”
His jaw clenches and his eyes narrow. I reached out to trail my finger on his chiseled jawline and his eyes closed. I know he too felt the electricity that is invariably present whenever our skin touches. He opens his eyes and stares at my lips. “If you’re going to continue touching me, I don’t think I’ll able to control myself.” He warned.
I bit my lip as the electricity travels all over my body, igniting me. “Then don’t.”
His gaze grew intense as his eyes stare into mine. He leaned closer, and the anticipation is making be breathless.
“We need to talk, Amelia.” He purrs, his lips inches from mine, and I’m eager for his lips.
“We’ll talk after.” I leaned into him and pressed my lips into his. His mouth opened and seconds later, he’s hovering on top of me, positioning himself right where I want him to be, between my legs.
He trailed kisses from jaw line to my neck to my collarbone. In a a sudden move, he ripped apart the satin nightgown that I’m wearing and he threw it on the floor. “Did you put that on me last night?” I whispered as he slowly moves downward.
“I wouldn’t want anyone touching you.” He replied and his heated breath blows against my skin. “Are you on the pill?”
“Yes.” I replied, breathless. I praised myself for setting up a consultation to obtain a pill. I know we should talk about whatever we are first, but my body and my heart are taking over. I want him. The way his hands move smoothly where I want it and his lips trailing up and down my body is letting me know he wants me too.
Vincent enters me suddenly, and it made me gasp. With every thrust of his hips, my insides ache in pleasure as my body surrenders to his every move.
My entire body aches and I’m not complaining. With his body and his... skill. No one can be able to resist. His head is resting on my chest and I can smell his intoxicating shampoo. “Your hair smells good.” I mumbled.
He turns to look at me, smirking. I traced my fingertips on his dimple. “You smell like nirvana.” He lifted his head and leaned in to kiss my lips.
I moaned in his mouth then he pulls away. He stares into my eyes, “Be mine.” He whispers.
I can hear fireworks in my head as I stare at his face. He traces his fingertips on my jawline as he waits for my response. Being “his” is all I want, and I know that deep in my heart. But there’s something that I always wanted to ask him,
“If I say yes... Will you be “mine” and... no one else?" I ask, thinking about Rebecca.
He smiles and leans in for another kiss. When he pulls away, he took my hand and placed it against his chest. Looking back at me, he says “Yours.” I can’t help but mirror the smile on his face.
Vincent and I spent the rest of the morning intertwined in each other’s arms. Making up for lost time. I’m amazed at how quickly his length gets really hard even after 2-3 rounds. He said that it’s the effect I have on him.
After making love in the shower, I eventually felt hunger. Vincent allowed me to choose any dress inside in the closet in the white room and I chose a black knee-length dress meanwhile, Vincent wore loose grey slacks that hung appealingly on his hips and a white shirt.
“Yes?” I urged Vincent, who’s staring at me at the doorway with a sexy smirk.
“Remind me again why we can’t stay in bed?” He quipped.
I rolled my eyes as I walk towards him. I like the way he looks at me; it makes me feel sexy and beautiful. “Because I’m famished.”
He looks at me up and down before smiling seductively, “I’m ravenous too.”
“I know what you’re hungry for but I need to be fed or else I’ll get cranky.” I said.
“Okay...” He pretends to whine and I can’t help but smile.
We walk towards his house’s patio, hand in hand, and I can see a woman placing a salad on the table. The table setting is so beautiful, at the middle of the table is a vase full of sunflowers. I thanked the woman, and she smiled at me politely before leaving.
I looked around and his yard is vast and filled with trees. Suddenly I remembered,
“How come there’s no other color in your house?” I inquired looking back at Vincent who’s standing behind me as I look around “It’s black, white and grey.”
He points at the sunflower, raising an eyebrow “and yellow.” His eyes full of humor. I shook my head and rolled my eyes at him. He chuckles then added, “Well, I don’t like any other color.”
“Then why sunflowers?”
“It reminds me of you.” He explains then he took my hand and escorted me to my side of the table. So, this is what it feels like to have butterflies in your stomach.
He pulled the chair for me and waited for me to be seated before moving to his side of the table.
I looked at our food and it’s like its prepared by professional chefs. I know I shouldn’t be picky or anything, but I kinda miss eating regular food. Like bacon and eggs.
“What is it?” Vincent asked
“I’m just craving for something else.” I answered. Picking up my spoon and fork, I enjoyed what I have on my plate since I rarely eat anything that looks expensive and I don’t like to waste food.
“What do you like? I can have that prepared.” Vincent asked. I looked up and he’s dead serious. Like it’s not a big deal if this food will get wasted.
“No. I’ll eat this.” I vowed, looking down on my plate and taking a bite of this salad situation on my plate. “By the way, who was the guy with you last night?” I inquired as I look up from my plate.
“That was David.” He said before sipping his wine.
“And he is?”
“He’s a friend.”
“How did you know we were at that club?” I urged. Can he still track me even if I already blocked him? Thinking about it now, I don’t know how his tracking app works.
“My stepmom wanted me to look for Alice. So, I tracked her phone and then...” his entire demeanor changed. “Just thinking about what would happen to you makes me want to knock that f*****g bastard until he’s unable to walk.” He seethed.
“Where are they?” I asked.
He sneered “Exactly where I want them to be.”
“In jail?”
He shook his head lightly, “They wish.”
I’m suddenly alerted. Those guys are assholes and they deserve to be in jail, but I’m afraid of what Vincent can do to them.
“Where are they, Vincent?” I asked.
His eyebrows furrowed, “I need to get the name of the person who ordered them to drug you.”
“You can just have them arrested. Are you even sure that someone hired them to do that?”
“This isn’t just about you, Amelia. This is also about my sister.” He pointed out.
“I know but...”
“They confessed that someone paid them to drug all of you and I will find out who that person and I’ll have him f*****g pay for what he did. End of discussion.” He stated before looking down on his plate.
I looked down as well and ate the food on my plate.
“Can you tell me more about Rebecca?” I urged, not looking up to see Vincent’s reaction.
“Why?”
“I just want to know how you two met. That’s all.”
Vincent said nothing for a few seconds and when I looked up, he’s looking at the view of his front yard. I stared at him as the sunlight gently touches his face; he looks so much like an angel, but his expression suggests otherwise. He turned to look at me, scowling, “Rebecca and I met in high school. She was a cheerleader, and I was... well, I guess you could say a rebel.” He stated.
“A rebel?” I echoed, raising an eyebrow but picturing Vincent as a rebel teenager in highschool is oddly endearing that it is making me smile.
His scowl gradually diminishing as he looks at me. “Yes. Rebecca had a boyfriend, but she always would follow me everywhere I go.”
“Did you like her?”
“No.” He said openly. Picking up his glass, he took a sip of the wine.
I picked up my glass and took a sip of the lemonade. He stares at me for a few minutes while I drink practically half of the lemonade, then he spoke, “Will you be working today?”
I put down the glass of lemonade on the table. “Yes. I still need to work to pay for my bills.”
“You can move in with me.” He suggested it so fast that I didn’t even understand it at first.
It took me few seconds to respond. “Uh... no.” I chuckled nervously. As much as the idea of spending more time with him looks so tempting, I still can’t just move in with him. It’s just too soon.
“Why not?” He inquires. He raises an eyebrow, crosses his arms in front of him and smirking at me.
“I don’t have to tell you why.” I responded.
“Well, I kind of deserve an explanation on why girlfriend doesn’t want to move in with me.”
I smiled almost instantly when he said that I’m his girlfriend. I pretended to look at my invisible wristwatch, “Oh no, look at the time. I need to go.” Rising to my feet, I stride towards the door. Vincent follows me and promptly wrapped his arms around me, hugging me from behind.
“Think about it, okay?” He whispers in my ear. Then he trailed kisses on my neck, sending electricity all over my body.
