"Alpha sir, how did I get here?" I said quietly.
"You were in the woods, shifting painfully and screaming so loud I heard you across the plains," he said, "Your mate was nowhere around so I helped you as much as I could and took you here."
When he talked it was emotionless, almost like an automated message.
"Thank you, that was very kind of you," I smiled up at him.
He growled as he advanced toward me. He lifted me up and slammed me against the wall as he held my hands above my head.
"You owe me something in return," He growled in my ear, sniffing up and down my neck.
Was this really happening? Did I really have to pay him back? I always wished to save myself for my mate and my mate only.
I felt my heart begin to beat rapidly, pounding in my chest.
"But not yet." Alpha Gabriel pulled away from me.
I let out a breath of relief.
"I will send someone to bring you clothes," He hissed as he slammed the door shut.
I stood there staring at the door, hoping he wouldn't come back anytime soon. I was in an uncharted pack with an unfamiliar Alpha who wanted me.
I collapsed onto the bed and sighed loudly.
No I didn't like this pack but I didn't want to go back to my old one, I didn't want to be abused for every little thing I did or worse, I didn't want to see my mate with another wolf.
My poor mother, the only person that believed me and cared must be worried sick about me. I didn't even leave a note for her to find.
I got up and advanced to the door.
Just then it flew open, revealing a blonde haired girl who looked about my age.
"No one else would spare you clothes so you can borrow mine," She said as she threw the clothes at me.
I caught them and smiled at her.
"Thank you, that's very ki-"
"Yeah whatever, just put them on."
She had grey eyes and a punk rock look to herself. She wore deep red lipstick and smoky black eye shadow, her hair frizzy and natural. Her black skinny jeans and a white crop top completed her careless look.
"Are you gonna keep staring at me or are you gonna change?" She snapped at me.
I blushed and quickly turned around.
I slowly began to disrobe from my rags into dark blue skinny jeans, a white tank top and some black vans.
I turned around and noticed her gazing at me with amusement.
"You know, you have a great body." She smirked.
I blushed and looked down at the ground.
She grabbed me and pulled me into the bathroom where she sat me on the toilet and began brushing my hair.
I constantly flinched and whimpered while she brushed out the knots and dirt in my hair.
"Shut up, your whining is annoying," she barked
When she finished, I glanced in the mirror and almost looked like my old self again. Except, I could still see the broken hearted, rejected girl inside.
"Come on, I have to give you a tour of the pack, " The girl said as she pulled a cigarette out her pocket.
"What's your name?" I finally worked up the courage to ask.
She smirked. "My name is Raven."
I smiled.
She had the same name as my wolf.
"I'm Felicity but everyone calls me Anaïs."
Chapter Five
"So we're currently in the pack house. This is where the Alpha, mateless wolves and some other people live," She explained as she walked down the hallway blowing cigarette smoke around us.
As she talked, I noticed the gash on her hip. It looked fresh.
"What happened to your hip?" I asked quietly.
She froze on the spot and slowly turned to glare at me. Soon that glare turned into a smile which made me confused.
"Something tells me you'll find out what happens around here soon," She said, taking in a long drawl of her cigarette.
She reached for her back pocket as her phone began ringing.
"Hello?...Hey...Nothing why? Are you ok?...if he finds out we're both dead...yeah I guess so....I love you too babe...bye." She hung up the phone and placed it back in her pocket.
"Come on you gotta go back to the Alpha's bedroom." She grabbed my hand and guided me back to the room I woke up in.
I was beginning to wonder who was on the other end of that phone? Was it a boyfriend? It sounded like it. Then why was she in a hurry?
"Just wait in here until I get back." She motioned for me to stay.
I nodded my head and sat down on the bed. As she slammed the door shut I pondered on what I should do next.
There wasn't anything for me to do. Nothing needed to be cleaned, I didn't need to cook, I could do whatever I wanted.
Hours passed and neither Raven or Alpha Gabriel returned. There was an odd amount of yelling and screaming going on beyond the room. I wanted to go outside and observe but I was too scared to open the door.
I pressed my ear against it, listening intently.
"I thought I told you to stop seeing him?!" I heard a growl.
"You can't tell me what to do!" It sounded like Raven.
There was a smack, a thump, then crying.
"I will tell you whatever the f**k I want, I'm your brother and Alpha and I won't hesitate from punishing you," The Alpha growled.
Before I could get a chance to react, the door was forced opened and slammed into my face, causing me to fall hard to the ground.
Gabriel walked into the room and immediately punched the wall next to the entrance. He completely ignored me and swiveled to punch the mirror.
He turned to me, the look on his face was menacing. His eyes were jet black, his face was red with anger and he looked like he wanted to kill. I began inching away from him holding my nose. He advanced and grabbed me by my hair.
I screamed and clawed at his hand. He pulled me onto the bed and released me from his grip. I crawled away from him as far as possible.
He sat down on the bed and looked down at his lap.
"I don't tolerate disrespect from anyone. Not even my mate." He growled. I didn't dare say anything, I just looked at him with wide eyes full of fear.
"She didn't like the things I did in my pack, she tried to come in and change things, I couldn't allow that so she rejected me," He said sadly.
"What happened to her?" I asked quietly.
He looked up at me with black eyes.
"My wolf wouldn't—couldn't tolerate the disrespect so he killed her."
He crept towards me and grabbed my hands. "No one stops me from getting what I want."
He laid me down on the bed roughly and crawled on top of me.
"No, please stop I don't want this." I tried kicking him off but it was no use, I was weak against this Alpha. He began attacking my neck with his sharp canines. He brutally began pushing his hands up my shirt.
There was a sudden rush of adrenaline and I lifted my foot up to kick him where it hurts. He groaned and rolled off of me which was enough for me to escape. But it wasn't enough for me to make it out the door. Before I knew it, Alpha Gabriel grabbed me and slammed my head against the wall knocking me out cold.
I woke up in the same bed as I did yesterday with a headache and a sharp pain in my lower abdomen. I slowly began to collect my memory from last night and my eyes widened.
I was naked under the covers. Tears began to form in my eyes as reality hit me hard. He knocked me out and took advantage of me. I sobbed, clutching myself and rolling into a ball. Imagine the pain I just put my mate through. I had broken the promise to remain celibate for my mate and my mate only. I searched for my clothes scattered across the room and tried putting them on. Before I did I looked at myself in the broken mirror.
Bruises and cuts covered my body, my eyes puffy and red. I had a few bald spots from the Alpha pulling on my hair so hard. I looked so weak and useless.
'Aren't you supposed to heal me?' I pleaded out to my wolf.
'I'm sorry but we're weak and I can't do much about it,' She whined.
As I finished dressing, the door opened revealing Alpha Gabriel. I rushed into the corner, ignoring the pain from my sudden movement. He growled, walking towards me.
"Please leave me alone, I didn't want this!" I cried out.
He growled louder and looked at me with angry eyes.
"Are you telling me what to do? I do whatever the hell I want and no one can do s**t about it."
As soon as he raised his hand, there was a call from the other side of the door.
"Alpha! We managed to capture and secure them! They're outside the center square!" A voice shouted.
Alpha Gabriel smirked at me.
"I'm gonna show you what happens when you disobey me." He grabbed me by my hair and pulled me out screaming.
I thought leaving my old pack would be good for me but it seems like wherever I go there is nothing more than hell for me. I don't think I can handle much more of this. I just can't.
Chapter Six
"GET THE HELL OFF ME!" I heard a scream from outside.
Alpha Gabriel grew tired of me struggling so he grabbed my arm and threatened to rip out every piece of hair follicle in my head. I whimpered and obeyed him.
We walked outside and I noticed Raven and a man next to her being held down by a few pack members. Raven's face was bloody and bruised while blood poured out of the man’s mouth.
"Please just let us go, we won't be a bother." Raven pleaded.
Her eyes darted towards us and her glare soon turned into pity as she saw my appearance.
"Raven, I thought I told you that you can't see him anymore?" Gabriel growled.
"We were leaving so you would never have to deal with us." She said.
He walked up towards her and smacked her across the face.
"Gabriel stop! I'm the one who convinced her to run away with me!" The man spat.
Gabriel glared at him with a menacing look.
"My own Beta, disobeyed me." He grabbed his face and turned it to Raven.
"I want you to look into her eyes cause this will be the last time you ever see her again." Gabriel growled.
"Please please no Gabriel I'm sorry please don't do this to him." Raven cried.
"Baby it's okay, I love you." The Beta said.
Gabriel grabbed ahold of his head and with swift movements ripped his entire head off. I stood there frozen, unable to talk or move as Raven screamed her head off.
Gabriel looked back at me and grinned.
I couldn't stay here anymore, this Alpha was a monster and worse than my old pack. I dashed toward forest as fast as I could but not fast enough. Something hit me in the back of my head, knocking me out cold.
I walked out my old life in search for a new one but instead I found hell. I left my mate and everything just for hell.
"Felicity?" I woke up with a giant headache and groaned. I looked up to see Raven hovering over me with a concerned look. But she looked horrible. She had all kinds of scratches on her face as if a wolf slashed at her face.
