The Jinxed

“Phoenix!? Phoenix?!” Rune calls, as Phoenix speed walks out of the Dorm rooms, Jinx close behind trying to keep up to human speed,  which was proven difficult especially when said human was walking Angrily. Rune called again, and got what he asked for in a response, when Phoenix suddenly snapped her body around and threw her hands in the air. “What?!” She yelled a little louder than what she expected herself to yell. “I want to help you? What can I do?” “Oh God, Not another one. Please. I’m not a charity case, I just need some air to cool down.” She replied sternly, “What are you so angry about?” “It’s not your business. Please can you leave me be… You too Jinx!” She said the last part looking sternly at the cat. “I’m suppose to show you around… Help you settle in…” He argued sincerely. “Right… I will call you if I need you… For now I’m good, BY MY SELF!” she responds turning on her heels and walking away. Phoenix was beyond angry. The fact that she had to be in this place, the fact that her sibling had no respect for anyone, and the fact that because she was the oldest she was given the responsibility to control her other siblings because she was level headed. She didn’t feel like she was level headed. Everything was too much for her. She had voices in her head talking at the same time and the only time she felt at ease was when she laid down and closed her eyes. She walked on for five more minutes, arriving at a small garden. The most beautiful flowers bloomed all around her. She took a deep breath sitting on a bench. As soon as she sat she closed her eyes and inhaled the fresh air around her. She exhaled slowly trying to let out all the drama she felt she had in her life. She often envied Valkyrie. Not because she was the youngest but she felt like Valkyrie had such a care free life. She never had consequences for her actions and it showed. Phoenix felt that she did have a good life, but she knew that whatever she did, she had to take responsibility for. Her thoughts drowned out all the whispers that ran her head crazy and she loved that feeling. “You need to learn how control the voices…” She heard a voice say, she opened one eye keeping the other closed. “I also get them…” The stranger that sat next to her said. Her open eye narrowed onto this stranger. He had curly hair, brown eyes and a sweet boyish face. “I’m Adawulf…” He said with a smile. “Phoenix…” She responded, “Well phoenix, do you think you can open the other eye for me so that I can take a look at both gorgeous green Marbles?” He asked with a smile, showing his dimple in the left cheek. She suddenly opened the other eye feeling rather embarrassed that she looked delusional. He chuckled, causing her to chuckle too… “I’m not going to Shake your hand for obvious reasons…” He says smiling again, “If I may ask how did you know?” “I’m a Scryer… But besides that, I remember when It all became a lot for me… Well, I Kind of looked like you…” He responded sweetly. Phoenix bit her lip. “How did you control them?” “I listened to them one by one… You may have a lot going on at the moment but those voices are guides. I just blocked out the rest and listened to them one by one, and once that one was done I moved to the next voice until there wasn’t any left. I was strict with them thereafter. I told them to stop when I felt it was too much, but I kept them close because like I say they are sort of guides…” He shrugged like it was the easiest thing on earth to do, moving from one voice to another, when she felt like it was a car radio being switched from station to station and she was the antenna. “I only got my powers now though…” Phoenix responded, “Girl… I think you have had your powers all your life. Look I don’t know your situation. I don’t know who you are, But I feel your Aura is incredible and I think, you have had this powerful gift all your life… Maybe You just thought you were crazy… And besides, all the witches here at Graceland are not selected witches, we were all born witches… Maybe you were glamoured?” He responded smiling, “Can you teach me how to do this ‘One on One’ Adawulf?” Phoenix asks, “That’s if you don’t have to be anywhere at the moment?”  She adds, “I’m actually free, My friend Calypso is on the other side of Campus with her coven so, I do have time…” He responded a hint of sadness in his voice when he mentioned the word coven, “where’s your coven?” Phoenix asked inquisitive but her voice sincere. “I don’t really have a coven. I suppose I would say this school is my coven?” He says looking around,  “what do you mean?” “so Some of our Kind can be nasty. I’ve been here my whole life but I’ve never really been accepted… Another reason is because I don’t interact much because of my gift, It sometimes limits you because if you even graze past someone you can see their faults, see their Aura’s and also see their future. I think also being the vise principals son also plays the part… Like I cant go to parties or be naughty or drink or anything with people because they think I will snitch?” He says looking at her frowning, his smile from earlier gone. “Well if it makes you feel better, I would hope that we can be friends… I mean we have a few things in common… You know, the gift we have and the fact that my dad built this school and now my mother runs it…” Adawulf’s brown eyes looked like tea saucers all of a sudden. “O.M.G I am mentally slapping myself at this moment…” He says slapping his hand on his forehead, “You told me your name but I didn’t realize that you were, well, you…” He adds, “Who am I?” Phoenix sighs, “The oldest of the Sacred six sweety, You’re a celeb in this school…” He responds, “I don’t want to be… It’s bad enough that I found out that my bestie, is my twin flame, Oh and his a cat by the way… My dad is dead and my parents were never really divorced… My whole life was a lie, and you were right… I did feel like I was delusional… I felt like I was going mental… I found out that I actually ‘gifted’…” She said throwing her hands up in the air after venting her feelings. “Oh and not to mention, that coven… That coven of my siblings is up to s**t. My little sister is such a damn b***h and I only realized it once we got here… It was like before we arrived I always looked past what she did wrong and In fact I maybe even helped her not take responsibility for her wrong doing… Actually not maybe, I did… I did help her and so did the rest of my siblings, and you know what… I defended her… Always, My other siblings, were giving her s**t for being the arrogant s**t she is and I still told them to stop…” Phoenix added. Adawulf nodded his head, smiling, “How do you feel now that you got that off your chest?” He asked, Phoenix sat for a moment staring into the distance at a blossomed red rose, “Surprisingly very relieved…” She responded, saying exactly how she felt, “Great… Now that was the first step, the second is to close your eyes…” He said, and she did just as he said, “Now listen… Speak inside your head and tell them to slow down… Focus Phoenix…” He said, his voice calm as she tried to ask the voices in her head to slow down. Which they started to do… “I can hear them clearer.” Phoenix said not opening her eyes. “Now pin point the voices… Tell them that you need them to speak one by one…Be firm but do it calmly…” He said, Phoenix took a deep breath, Inhaling while speaking in silence one again…

“You are on the right path… continue on your path, but don’t be deceived by the mock sun…” She hears a voice say but it went away too quick for her to ask it any questions…

“I am watching over you and your siblings, But I can not reveal myself in the public eye… Nix take charge my child. I will come to you in spirit and we will speak further… I know you have questions, and I will answer them… Be patient…” Another voice said, Similar to her fathers. That too disappeared.

“They will be together! The sacred six must fight!” A voice screamed, then phoenix’s eyes popped open, a gasped exited her mouth as if she was holding her breath, she almost fell forward but Adawulf caught her before she could go anywhere. “Its okay… Your fine…” He said rubbing her back. “How was that?” He asked as Phoenix caught her breath sitting up. She looked at her surroundings, smiling slightly, “although I didn’t understand much of what the three that I did hear clearly, it feels like a weight has been lifted… I honestly don’t hear the screaming and shouting or talking all at once… They have gone down to like a whisper, which I’m used to…” She responded with a slight smile. Which he returned… “Thank you Adawulf… I hope we can be friends… I mean you did just help me for no reason whatsoever…” “Girl everything happens for a reason… every meeting… Every piece of advice… everything… So maybe the reason for us meeting is to become friends?” He says smiling. “now that I feel so much better… What are you up to right now? Do you have to go anywhere for the rest of the day?” Phoenix asks, “What do you have in mind?” He asks, “I want you to meet the rest of the sacred six…” She said with a smile.

“do you think Nix will be Okay?” Pagan asked, the room silent after Phoenix’s outburst. “The f**k you worried about her for? She’s always fine… The boss…” Valkyrie Mumbles under her breath but the room is so silent everyone could hear including, Gaia, Xavier and Rune and Jinx who had just returned. Jinx Hissed at Valkyrie. “Relax p***y…” Valkyrie said holding up her hand towards the cat. Suddenly Stone and Demetria start to laugh and giggle. Stone cant control his laugh and Pagan and Rowan look at them with a smile on their faces, because even though they have no clue what they are laughing at, Stones laugh was contagious and it was such a funny sound that you would laugh just listening to it. “Right…” He breaths still laughing, “You were so scared of Phoenix a moment ago… Did you check if you didn’t perhaps s**t yourself…” He laughs out causing the rest of the siblings besides Valkyrie to laugh out. They laughed at Valkyries reaction her facial expression was priceless. “I must say I’ve never seen Nix like that before but I felt her power… Good grief…” Pagan says after her chuckle, Valkyrie pouts and frowns. “No wonder that s*x the other night with Mason was so loud… She put all her energy into it…” Stone Giggles, Looking at Jinx. Jinx huffs walking towards Phoenix’s bed and jumping back onto it. “So she’s just sexually frustrated?” Demetria asks giggling. “Nah.. I think she’s just tired of Valkyries s**t to be honest…” Rowan pipes up.  

“What? she has a boyfriend?” Rune asks seriousness written on his face. “Rune, Babe, your ship has sailed… she has a twin flame bro… You honestly don’t want to take him on… His a tiger when it comes to Nix… In the bed and Out…” Stone says with a giggle. Rune suddenly rolls his eyes. “Speak of the devil and she shall appear… That’s what mom always says…” Stone says again, hearing his sisters thoughts obviously roaming around the dorm.

Phoenix walks in the room arm in arm with someone who is a complete stranger to her siblings, and stands in front of them with a smile on her face. Gaia Nods at Adawulf and Xavier side eyes him, Rune huffs and rolls his eyes. No one says a word. “My God you got laid…” Stone shouts in Glee making a joke… sitting up on his bed. She chuckles, “guys don’t jump into conclusions…” She says eyeing Stone… “This is Adawulf… his my new friend…” She adds, Jinx suddenly jumps off the bed and rubs himself against Adawulf. “Goodness Mas… It has been so long since I’ve seen you… You beast…” He says kneeling down to stroke Jinx and smiling. He stands and waves at all of them, “By the way Stone… He Bats for the other team…” Phoenix says jumping on her bed and smiling. Stone smirks looking Adawulf up and down taking him all in. “What’s got you in a good mood all of the sudden?” Rowan asks looking at his sister smiling, “Adawulf helped me…” She responded, that’s all he needed to hear, lying back down. He looked up at Gaia who was standing at the door, and patted the space on the bed next to him. She was surprised but was drawn to Rowan completely, taking a seat and getting comfortable.

“How do you know Mason?” Stone asks taking an interest in Adawulf, “well, He did date my sister once… I think…” He responded with a smile, “Trinity’s your sister?” Demetria asks shocked, Adawulf and Trinity were completely different. They were nothing alike and it shocked her. “We have different mothers but yes, we are related through our father…” He responded knowing exactly why she felt shocked. “So that means Aerson is your father…” Pagan adds, Adawulf nods and smiles. “Oh well Join the club, the six of us also share high ranking witch parents, so you should fit right in with us.” Stone says. Stone took a liking to him as soon as he heard that they shared the same s****l orientation. He saw Adawulf as handsome, with his tall, dark and handsome features. His smile was contagious and his energy was too. He glanced at Adawulf standing in the room with his hands in his pocket and wished that Adawulf saw him just as he saw Adawulf. “stop staring, your eyes might fall out of your head…” Phoenix said in her head, knowing he could hear her. She had a smirk on her face, but was not looking at her brother. He giggled focusing his mind on Adawulf’s, to hear his thoughts. He couldn’t focus though. There was so much going on in everyone else’s head. As everyone was speaking to each other, he looked over to Rune, and then to Valkyrie, who sat in silence with a frown on her face. Both of their heads were blank, I mean it isn’t possible to not think of anything. When he just found out about his gift he could hear what Valkyrie was thinking though, now its an empty shell.  Rune was the same and something was very strange about it. Even if his siblings were asleep he could hear every last word. Although he couldn’t focus on Adawulfs thoughts he could still hear his voice, amongst Pagans, Demetria, Rowan, Phoenix and Mason, also the School guides besides Valkyrie and Rune. He frowned looking at them as they suddenly both look like they are looking into the distance, in to nothing but air, Day dreaming. “Ahem…” He says suddenly catching the people in the rooms attention. “I would like to speak to Nix and Rowan alone please”… He says eyeing them both, and feeling uneasy. This the most serious they have seen their brother before, and it put Pagan and Demetria in a panic, making them think of questions that he could only hear. He shook his head, looking between the two of them. “We will chat later… But for now I think you can be this ‘hunk of burning love’s’ company while we are gone…” Stone says putting his hand on Adawulfs shoulder patting it slightly. What he didn’t expect when he did that was the sparks that flew off of them, like fireworks at the forth of July. He visually saw them, and physically felt what they were to each other… It felt like they were in a trance for hours, meanwhile it was a mere two minutes that they were frozen by the slight touch. Once Stone pulled his hand back, embarrassed that everyone in the room had seen that little love interaction. “I have been waiting a very long time for you…” Adawulf said suddenly looking into Stones emerald eyes. The siblings and guests watch this with anticipation. What will happen next. Stones visible Gulp, then smile made Adawulf aware that Stone had just realized that they were Twin flames… Pagan claps ecstatically. They were then Mindful of everyone else in the room. Stone smiles looking around. “So this is very Awkward…” Stone says aloud, taking Adawulf’s hand and pulling him out the room with him. Rowan and Phoenix soon followed.

As soon as Rowan, Phoenix and Adawulf were outside of the dorm with Stone, he searched for a safe place to speak to them. When he did he blurted his words sounding terrified.

“There is something wrong with Valkyrie…” He said, Rowan raised his eyebrows, “Yeah she’s a brat we all agreed earlier…” He said with a smirk. “seriously Rowan…” Stone rolls his eyes, “I didn’t hear her…” He adds, “What do you mean, you didn’t hear her?” Phoenix asks, “When everyone was together, her and Rune thought of nothing, Honestly nothing… It is so unusual…” Stone says again worried. “Stone it could mean anything…” Rowan says brushing it off on the fact that nothing is usual at the moment. “Earlier with Nix and her going into convulsions, The way Valkyrie is acting suddenly…  Yes we all knew she was a b***h, but she has never voiced out how much she hated us like this before. To be honest since we arrived I haven’t heard her… I Just think that there is something big going on here. Plus Dobby said to me before we left that something big was going to happen and that we need to keep our guards up…” Stone says suddenly jittery. Suddenly Adawulf turns to Phoenix, “You had convulsions earlier?” He asks surprised. She nods, “did you shake someone’s hand?” He asks again and receives a nod, “That person is Bad Phoenix… Who is he or she?” He asked worried, “Crowley… Valkyries Boyfriend…” Adawulf’s jaw drops and his eyes widen. “Crowley is the descendant to Lysander… Lysander was a friend of my fathers, and Lysander, according to my knowledge was a very bad man…” He says. “How the f**k are we only hearing of this now, I thought mom said Lysander and His Descendants were dead?” Rowan says throwing his hands up in the air. “It’s all Hush, Myself and Trinity and Probably your father and my father were the only ones who knew that he was related to Lysander somehow…” Adawulf responds to Rowan, Phoenix glares at Rowan… “I told you something was up?” She says sighing, then biting her lip, “Yeah but given this new piece of information Nix, I mean Come on!” Rowan shrugs, “wait, Stone… You said Dobby Warned  you before we left?” Rowan adds and Stone nods,  “Ares warned me too…” He said combing his fingers through his hair. “Do you think she’s like possessed or something?” Stone asks looking between them he was referring to Valkyrie. “Whose Possessed?” A voice near them asked, the four of them suddenly looked to the direction of the voice. Valkyrie stood there with her hands on her hips frowning at them…
