Chapter 10 David closed his eyes as he reclined in the poolside chair. He’d activated the automatic roofing system which helped trap in the warmth of his apartment’s heated penthouse swimming pool. He’d loved to relax here in the evenings whenever he was in town from Los Angeles, and that feeling had not changed. The rest of his day had been busy but rewarding. He’d finished all HR paperwork, completed the on-boarding process and hospital orientation, met a couple of his colleagues informally, familiarized himself with both his surgical team and the team of medical residents he would supervise, and met his first patients.
