David had seen Jasmine stiffen, and he understood immediately. Nurse Munroe had to be an active member of the hospital’s rumor mill.
He stepped forward. “Nurse Munroe, it’s great to meet you. I didn’t know you lived in this building.”
“I do! What about you?” Then she seemed to notice his arm. “What happened?”
“Just a little accident. I can’t do much with it though. Dr. Banks was kind enough to help me out a few minutes ago.” He turned to Jasmine. “Thanks for your assistance, Dr. Banks. Please tell Prof. Morgan I’ll call her soon.”
Jasmine nodded. “Have a good evening,” she said to Nurse Munroe and walked off toward her car.
David turned back to Nurse Munroe and flashed her a brilliant smile. “It was nice meeting you. I hope you have a good day too.”
