​SIENNA’S POV ​Rain lashed against the floor-to-ceiling windows in heavy sheets. Thunder rattled the glass, followed by flashes of lightning so bright they turned the room a stark, blinding white for a split second. ​I hated storms. I had fled the living room ten minutes ago, unable to stand the sound of the wind howling against the glass, but the rest of the house felt just as exposed. ​Kieran wasn’t back yet.
