KIERAN’S POV ​The morning sun poked at my eyelids, forcing me to squint against the bright light. I groaned and raised a heavy hand to shield my eyes as I sat up. My back was stiff, and my spine popped with a slow, painful stretch. I stayed like that for a moment, waiting for my head to clear. ​That’s when I felt it.
