I walked out of Dr. Patel’s office and felt completely unsatisfied. I couldn't stop thinking about what he had said. He called it a “human malfunction.”
Those two words kept repeating in my head, and they made me feel like something was permanently broken.
I hated the way he looked at me. I needed him to help me, but instead, he just gave me a name for my problems that made everything feel hopeless.
