Nadir could not believe what the old man had just said. Was he joking or was this really true? She let out a terrific laughter as she looked at the old man. The old man smiled in return, watching her ignorance. If only she knew then she would not even have considered laughing.
“Okay, let me, I believe you are joking, right? Is this some sort of a joke or something?” She tried to suppress the remaining laughter.
“No, I am not. I am being truthful to you, my dear” He smiled sadly.
“No, you lie!” She yelled angrily as she stood up. “I do not believe one bit of what you have said! “
“What do you mean? What has come over you, Nadir? Do not be blinded by this so called feeling you believe is love, it can be disastrous and can be dangerous to Davina. Do not forget who she is”
