“Alex, are you all right?”
He rushed to him the moment he noticed he was rocking back and forth in his bed. Shoulders moving heavily with each breath while hugging himself.
With a slow stroke on his shoulder, the man stopped, jolting before taking in low breaths.
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
Alexander’s voice was monotone, but he became relaxed now, though he remained looking down on the floor, which concerned him.
“Are you sure? You don’t seem okay.”
There was something odd about how he avoided his gaze when tried to look at him, yet he stopped the moment he detected the mark of tears that were left in the man’s cheeks.
“I’ve never been better.”
Alex stood up, turning his back. He remained staring at him while he walk away until he saw the thing that had fallen from the guy’s lap.
