The Witch

‘They only gather in groups on the full moon in the forest.’ I read “what bullshit, we don’t gather in cloaks on the full moon” my best friend said, she had soft porcelain skin, eyes the color of sapphires and long curly hair the color of rubies. “Cmon Tallie you can drop it, people are clueless” I say. “I know but still” she says pouting and popping out her lower lip which made me giggle and shake my head “come on let's get to class Tal” I say. On the way to class I smiled when my lover approached us with a grin “Hey there Sui Feng” my lover says with a grin as they drape an arm around my waist. “Hey yourself Lu” I say with a grin as we lean in for a quick kiss “Soooo, I got us a commission of sorts” Luca says with an even wider grin than mine and Tallie’s head perks up. “Wow, I speak of money and you start listening. Love you too Tal” Luca says with a shake of their head, Tal, Lu and I were in a polyamorous relationship and we all loved each other equally “well, explain the job love” she says and they roll their eyes playfully. “We’ll be meeting with a pagan woman after school, her name is Rowena Blackwood, she’s the high priestess of ‘The Sacred Circle’” Luca says. I nodded “I’ve heard of them, they’re known to work with many pantheons and entities” I said “So what's the job?” Tallie says “Breaking a curse on an amethyst” Luca says and I nodded. “Seems easy enough” Tallie says “Don’t underestimate a curse Tal” I say and she rolled her eyes “Yea, Yea I know Feng” she retorted. After school was over the three of us held hands after fighting over who would hold who’s hand and I ended up being in the middle as we walked to the meeting spot under a willow tree. The woman was tall with a slim triangle build, she had deep chestnut colored skin with long braided hair dyed the color of the midnight sky. She wore a black fitted dress that had sheer black lace that went straight across from right below the collarbone to where the square shaped top started and her sleeves were like her neckline, sheer black lace. The skirt of her dress was an A-line with a slit on her right side that went all the way up to her hip where the slit was just a few inches from meeting her underbust corset which matched her hair. She had upturned eyes that were the color of a deep lapis stone. She had deep midnight blue stilettos that had an ankle strap made of faux black diamonds. She was absolutely beautiful. “Hello my dear siblings of the craft” she said, her voice was slightly raspy but was smooth as honey when she spoke with a Haitian accent. “I have asked for your help because of this amethyst I obtained recently. It has a very rare curse that has a spirit bound to it and I need you to release this spirit.” she added. “The pay for this is two hundred dollars to each of you, I really appreciate your help” she says and I nodded “Of course Miss Rowena” I say as I felt her put the stone in my hand. When we said our goodbyes I started to inspect the stone, I sensed no negative energy from it but rather a wave of worry hit me while holding it. “Let's do this” Tallie says with a smirk “I’ll get the candles” Luca says “And I’ll get the sigil” Tallie added before I nodded. We laid out our set up and circled the small purple stone chanting a spell like we were singing a song as we let our energy flow into it as we circled it. Soon enough we felt a shift in the earth, the once lit black candles snuffing out as the wind circled around us. There was a small figure in the amethyst we were given, it was a girl she had long black hair that covered her face and porcelain skin dressed in a baby blue dress. “I know her, she went missing a few years ago. Her name was Kiara Rosewood” I say. At my words she arose from the stone, causing it to break, collapsing on mine and Tallie's laps “How did she end up in the stone?” Tallie asked “You don’t think..” Luca replied and my heart sunk, she was the curse….
