As the Elven City comes into view, Jeremiah slows down and shifts into his human form. Naked and sweaty, he lets the fresh air cool his skin while he stands underneath the shade of a tree. The sun has passed the midday point and is stretching its long golden orange rays down onto the marketplace that surrounds the entrance to the city.
From where he stands on a distant hilltop he can clearly see what is happening below. The crowds are bustling to finish their day’s work and prepare for the upcoming wedding festivities. Not only that, rumor has been circulating of an approaching danger, though nobody is sure what that means. Making prince Vareon a king seems to be danger enough for some of the Elven citizens.
