The Last Battle

2127 Words

Jeremiah’s golden eyes meet the perfect blue ones of his lover. Through the mind link he pleads with her to stay back. He promises this fight will not take long and that it must be done, wolf to wolf. Her fists clench at her sides. How can she just stand by and watch helplessly? She doesn’t have time to respond or argue with him as he shifts into his own bipedal form. He is absolutely huge and threatening, but stands only inches taller than Fangrin. His arms and chest arm much larger. Hopefully his size and experience will make up for his weaknesses. Fangrin is younger, faster, and more agile. Though he lacks the sheer understanding of battle that Jeremiah brings to the fight. The two direwolfs begin to circle each other. Jeremiah stands strong and proud, ready to swat his enemy away.
