"Pain does not break the calm of the sweet twilight of age, for strength is made perfect in weakness and endures it always patiently." C.H. Spurgeon Jacob's POV: After I hugged and kissed Bella and Renesmee, and fist pouched Edward goodnight, like I said I was gonna do; I went home. As I saw the rest of the bloodsuckers speeding off after saying their goodbyes, it was gonna be normal again. Well sorta. At least I hoped so. I took my bike that I've left here a very long time ago and drove it home. I took my time for once. I wanted to enjoy the scenery, the peace and quiet of this so called, small town called Forks. I drove towards Bella's old house, where Charlie was getting out of his car. When he saw me he shook his head but then waved. I nodded my head towards him and speed away. By the time I got to La Push, I took in a deep breath and felt all the worry and everything else that was on my shoulders, lift off of me. It was like I could finally breath again. Let alone, live again. It was time to enjoy the moment from here on out. When I pulled up, I saw Sue walking out of the house. She smiled up at me when I rolled up. "Welcome home, Jake." She had said. "Thanks, glad to be back. Feels like I've been gone from here forever. Even though I was here on Christmas." "Yeah, time flies on by when things happen. How's Bella and the rest of the vampires since that's all over with?" She asked. "Excited. Glad to move past it all." I said. "Seth said they looked happy that its over. That poor girl, though." "Yeah, she has had a lot on her little shoulders. And she's only 3 ½ months old, but looks like she's 10 years old." I had said. "Seth and Leah said that a vampire just like her showed up. Is that true?" Sue asked. "Yeah. He can turn humans but his sisters can't nor can Renesmee. He had said that it took 7 years since his birth to be full grown, so I'm guessing 18 years old looking." "Will you be able to wait 7 years for her?" My dad asked as he wheeled himself towards the door, hearing our conversation. I turned to look at him. "Yeah. I think I can. I have to, right. I imprinted on her." "But son, you don't have to be a lover to her." My dad said. "Exactly, what if she don't see you like that. What if she falls in love with someone else." Sue brought up. I growled a little. They were right though. "When are you, Bella, and Edward gonna bring it up to her?" My dad asked. "I don't know just yet, to be honest. Maybe a few years from now. Where she looks close to my age. Or even longer." I said as looked down to the ground. Sue place a hand on my shoulder and smiled a little. "Ima get some sleep. Its been a long few days." I said as I walked around my dad and Sue, to my room. "Yeah, well I'm gonna go check up on Charlie." I heard Sue say. "Yeah, even though Charlie's my best friend and so was Harry, but I'm actually glad you two are together." My father told her before I shut my door. I shook my head at that. I mean he has a point though. They both were lonely, and its been almost a year since Harry had died. And Charlie, well he needs a good person to help him out since Bella is gone. As I took off my shoes and climbed into bed, I drifted off to sleep as soon as my head hit the pillow. I was more exhausted than I thought. As the night ended and the morning came, I woke to the birds chirping outside my window. Felt weird at first, because I wasn't sleeping under a tree in the woods or on the floor of the Cullen's house. I was in my own bed in my house. How the past 4 ½ months has been crazy but I actually kinda miss this. But the thing is now, what do we do now since the trouble is past us all. I mean I have all the time in the world to hang out with Renesmee but will that hurt me in the long run. Only one I can relate to this is Quil. Since he's with Claire, a 3 year baby girl. I mean its not the same but it'll have to do, for now. Renesmee POV: I woke up the very next day, feeling a little off but good at the same time. I was in my bed, which meant we were in the cabin. It was off for me because the past few weeks, I have been sleeping on the couch with either Jacob or my mother next to me. Or in my mothers arms. But laying in my bed, I felt well rested. I heard my parents talking in their room, but didn't really think nothing about it. As I heard the birds chirping outside the cabin, I smiled. I loved the sound of that, it was my happy place. As the sun shinned more in my room, I saw colors flashing in the corner of the room. It was moms necklace that she said that, the very bad man; Aro, had gotten it for her. As a wedding gift he has said. The day she got it, I thought it was very pretty. Just remembering that very point in time. A warm sunny day, a package has shown up at the main house for my mother. My father had stood next to her as she opened it. My grandfather had brought up that he was surprised that things like that necklace, Aro still had. Aunt Alice thought it was something to mask her beauty against her hard cold skin against the sun or something like that. I touched my mothers face and showed her the necklace and said "pretty" to her. As I could speak but not do so. I like my gift very well. As a friend of my family, he had said it was crazy weird for a "mindreader" for a father and a "shield" for a mother combined together a remarkable gift of such sorts. My grandfather and father had said that because of my mother, that my father nor Aro couldn't read her thoughts when she was human nor vampire, that because she wouldn't let people in at all, that I let the people in. More say, I pull them in. As I got up from the bed, I went over to the corner and picked up the necklace and played with it. I loved shiny things and this necklace, just made my morning. I heard a chuckle in the other room, guessing my father heard my thoughts and now knows I'm awake. My mother had asked him what was so funny and of course he had told her. She chuckled as well then I heard them get up. The next few minutes, my parents were in my room dressed for the day. I looked up at them and smiled. "Loving the necklace aren't cha?" My mother asked. I nodded at her and she sighed. Knowing me, she wish I could speak out loud to her like I have to do with grandpa Charlie. My father cleared his throat, making me look at him. "Yes, I love it." I said softly, knowing they could hear me. "Well its yours." My mother said then went over to my dresser and picked out an outfit for me to wear. I got up and walked over to her and helped. My father walked out of the room to give me my privacy. Once my mother found what she was looking for, she handed me the outfit to get dressed in. Once was dressed, me and my mother walked out of my room, to get my father, so we can run to the main house. One thing about living close to the main house, I can run to it whenever I want but I have to let my parents know. As I was running, I was smelling the smells that was around. The flowers that were starting to bloom, and speaking of smells, someone was cooking up something good to eat. "Grandma is whipping up some breakfast fajitas." My father had said answering the thought I had in my head. "Hmm, yum. God, I miss human food." My mother had said. I looked at her and shook my head. "I mean can't you eat it too?" I asked. "Well yes, but we don't have to. But you do to keep strong and on a well base diet. So march your little butt up in the kitchen and eat Missy." My mother told me. I nodded and ran into the kitchen. Grandma was just taking them off the plate when I got to the counter. I took a big whiff of the food and hummed. I touched her face and showed her I was gonna eat it all up. Of course she smiled at me as she gave me a fork and handed me some of them. Then went to the fridge and got me a glass of milk to drink with it. What I would do for food in my life. And speaking of food in my life, Jacob would love this. If only he was here.
