Chapter 13Despite Russell's assurances, Riley continued to feel an increasing sense of emotional discomfort. Each night she checked to be sure that the circles drawn under the bed remained undisturbed. And yet, despite her precautions, she could still feel Danny's threatening presence just beyond her dreams, pressing, testing the defenses.
