You look great!

Oh, no! I spent too much time in the bath tube and I won't be ready in time for the meeting! What's going on with me these days? Why am I so distracted? I opened my wardrobe and chose a new black dress. It was a good occasion to wear it! I bought it a few weeks ago because I saw it and I just couldn't resist! It was like she was screaming Paulina, don't go! Buy me! Buy me! so I bought it. I only have half an hour to do my make up and to be ready because it's already seven and a half. Hello? I answered after I heard the phone ringing somewhere in the living room. Are you ready, assistant? So we are back to "assistant" I said for myself rolling my eyes. It is not 8 yet so no, I am not! Well, I am already at your place! Wait, is he waiting outside? I am not even dressed up, not mentioning that my make up is not done! What if I invite him in? It wouldn't be nice of me to let him wait in the car. Would you like to come in? I can prepare you a cup of coffee while I get ready. I said trying to not sound weird. Okay. He accepted so easy! I told him the number of my apartment and checked if the place was looking alright. Not that I care about what he thinks, but, in the end, he is my boss and I have to make a good impression. The doorbell rang and I hurried to open the door. Come in, please! I said and then I realized I was wearing a silk bathrobe that was not even reaching my knees. I tried to hide after the door and let him inside my tiny place. We don't have time for coffee! Just go and get yourself ready! I run to my bedroom hoping he didn't notice what I was wearing. Five more minutes until the clock strikes 8 and I am almost ready. Come on! Why does it takes you so long? I heard Malik yelling from my living room. I put my earrings in my little bag and I went to my living room where Malik was walking from side to side very annoyed of the situation. I am sorry it took so long but I am ready now so we can go! I said smiling and run to the door. I felt Malik following me closely to the exit of the building I was living in when I realized I have forgotten something. My lipstick! I said turning around and almost bumped into the man next to me. We looked at each other for a few seconds without even blinking when I felt my face turning all red. The space between us didn't even exist and once again I was feeling embarrassed. I forgot my lipstick! I said on a low voice. Why do you need more lipstick? I think you have enough on! I said nothing and followed him to his car. All the way to the meeting place was silent because none of us said anything. I wanted to ask him to give me some details about tonight but I thought I had already annoyed him too much and I didn't have the courage to open my mouth. I guess I'll have to figure out by myself what is all this about. When we got to The Moon, one of the most expensive restaurants in the city, Malik got out of the car and opened my door as a real gentleman, leaving the car to be parked by the people who were working there. I smiled as a thank you and followed him to the entrance of the place. He saw the men we had to meet and gave me some instructions as we were heading to our table. And don't worry about the lipstick! You look great! He whispeared.
