8. What happened?

Rahul's POV

It was holiday today, it was also the last shoot day of Shanvi's upcoming album. I was really happy for her. She had also joined a school here. I take care of her like my own child. She maintains her studies as well as her carrier. I had also hired a manager for her.

Right now, she was standing in front of me, practicing for her steps.

The director said "Lights Camera Action."

She then started giving her performance. She was flawless. She was a great singer, as well as a dancer. I hope this album goes hit. She said that she also wants to give her performance on English songs. I agreed to that.

After her performance, we took a rest. Shanvi was really excited for this. I was happy that she is trusting me and dad now. Dad is also very much friendly towards her. He treats her like her own child.

Her album will be released after a week.

One week later:

Rahul's POV

Her new album had released today. It had crossed a million views just in an hour. I was too happy for her. Everyone loved her soulful voice. I was really proud of her. Kaya called up and congratulated her. She was sure that one day, Shanvi will really achieve her dreams.

We had a grand party at our place for her success. Everyone from the music industry as will as our employees were present there. Unfortunately, Kaya was not her I was really missing her a lot. I decided that when I will go to Indian, I will confess my love to her. I really loved her.

Soon, I will marry her and bring her here, so that I can spend as much time as I want. Dad, will be going back India tomorrow, as he has work there. I will be here managing everything. I also want to go there, but unfortunately, I can't.

I decided that I will go there next month, I will confess her and marry her as soon as possible.

I came out of my dreamland, and attended the party.

The party was over, everybody left. I went to my room, and called her up.

We talked for hours, and didn't realised when we slept.

The next day, dad went away early morning. I came back home after leaving him, and went away to leave Shanvi at her school. I also left for my office.

Our company was going very well. All the employees worked very hard. It was a tiring day as usual. I had attended a lot of meetings, now it was time for me to go back home. I went Shanvi's school, picked her up and went towards our house.

She went to her room, got freshened up, and started doing her homework. I also engrossed myself on my office work.

It was dinner time, we had our dinner and went to our respective room's.

To my shock, I hadn't received her call till now. I decided to call, but it was unavailable.

What the fu*k?

I tried again and again, but it said, that it was unavailable. I was a bit worried. What happened all of a sudden? I need to go there as soon as possible. But my work? I will hire a manager to look after it. Our company is going very well now. I will hire a manager. I should go their as soon as possible.

I was a bit hurt as she was not picking up my calls. I was getting too restless. I had already planned a lot about our future.

I will confess her my love. Then, I will marry her, spend a lot of time with her. We both will stay here in London. We will take care of Shanvi like our own kid. After a few years of marriage, we will have a baby. We will take care of both Shanvi and our baby. I will take care of my family as well as our business. Dad will retire, then we all will shift to India, and live their happily ever after. We will have a perfect future. A perfect family. A perfect couple. Life will be so good.

But, what happened all of a sudden? Did she..?

I am too stupid, I shouldn't think like that. I will soon hire a manager and return back to India with Shanvi. She is having her vacations next week. So, we will go to India. I was on the verge of crying, just a mere thought that I will loose her, is making me go mad. I shouldn't think like this. I should think positive.

It's been a month, that I left India. In this month, I realised that I can't live without her. I want to have a perfect future with her. I just love her. Finally, I got that girl with whom I can spend my life. I can't bear to loose her now. I just love her.

By thinking all these, I slept.

It's been a week now, today early morning I left for a flight to India with Shanvi. I even hired a manager to look after the company.

I was sitting in the airport. Shanvi was sleeping peacefully besides me. I also thought to sleep. I then closed my eyes, bit her cute innocent face was not letting me do so. What happened to her instantly?

I kept thinking about her and slept into deep slumber.

After a few hours, I landed at Pune airport. I took Shanvi, and turned my head towards our house.

We reached their, we had a little gossip with our parents, then I changed and went to Kaya's house.

I rang the bell hoping that she would open it, but her mother opened it. I touched her feet. She greeted me. I asked her about Kaya and she said that, she is in her room upstairs. She was a bit disappointed, I don't know why?

The moment we reached her room, I was horrified with the view.

Kaya's POV

I was so happy that finally, Shanvi achieved her dreams. I called her up that evening and congratulated her. After talking to her. My mom called me up for dinner. As soon as I stepped out from the bed, my chest started paining a lot. At first, I thought that it was a mere chest pain, but I couldn't control it. It started paining a lot that I was literally screaming on the top of my voice. My mom and dad came running towards me, and took me to the doctor.

My eyes slowly started to open. I found myself on a bed in hospital. I had no idea, what was happening. I got up from my bed. Suddenly, some noise came from the corridor. I went their and saw my parents talking to the doctor.

"Mr. & Mrs. Singh, I am sorry to tell but your daughter is suffering from lungs cancer." The doctor said. My eyes came out of my skull. I was totally blanked. I can see my parents panicking.

"How is this even possible?" My mom asked.

"We just checked right now, and saw that she was suffering from lungs cancer." The doctor said. My mom was on the verge of crying.

They saw me there, listening to their talks.

After a few minutes, we came back home. I went to my room. My mom gave me the medicines, and left.

I didn't knew how to react. My face was expressionless. I was very much upset.

Why all these happens with me? A month ago, Rahul left me. My holidays were going on. A few moments ago, I was planning to visit Rahul's place at London and surprise him. I decided to tell about my feelings once I meet him. I was even planning my future with him, and suddenly all the happiness vanished, because of this fu*king lungs cancer. I really hate you god!!

I was too angry. I threw my phone also. I literally destroyed everything. My parents came running to my room, and started consoling me.

"Beta, during this situation, you should be strong. You should fight for yourself. You can't loose hope. Have patience." My dad said consoling me.

I didn't knew how to react. My heart was shattered. From that day onwards, I didn't talked to Rahul, I was really feeling bad. I need him at this moment the most.

It was almost a week since I have been laying in this stupid bed due to this fu*king lungs cancer. Earlier, I loved my bed as it is, I sleep a lot, but now I just hate it.

My mom was sitting with me in this bed, suddenly the door bell rang.

People have started arriving to show their fake concern towards me. Wow!!

Mom went to open the door. She came upwards, and suddenly I saw someone and my face lit up. Rahul!! He is here. Oh my god, I missed him so much. I just wanted to jump on him with my hands wide open, and will not let the moment to end. But, unfortunately I can't.

Fu*k you lungs cancer!!

I could see tears flowing from his eyes. It was obvious, seeing your friend in this condition can bring tears in anyone's eyes. He came towards me.

He sat beside me and cupped my cheeks.

"How did all these happened?" He asked in a low voice.

I narrated the whole incident. He was on the verge of crying. I could see the fear of loosing me in his eyes.

Just then, mom's phone rang, and she went to attend it.

"I love you" Rahul said, which widened my eyes.
