His statement touched the deepest part of my heart but I managed to mask it with an unfazed expression, “yes, I think I forgot my boundary and I am sorry about that.”
His lips quivered as he slowly removed his hand from his pocket, his lashes fluttered with his mouth shaking like he wanted to explain something.
I raised my hand to stop him,“No, Don't! we will have a proper discussion after the event; you should prepare yourself for that,” I said and found my way out of his office. I almost collided with a bothered Joe outside the office door, he gazed at me with careful expression and greeted me.
My bad temper didn't allow me to reply to his greeting, I rather gave him a secretive eye roll and stormed away.
