Rob was awake by the time Eli returned with lunch. He’d slept for nearly four hours while Eli sat and drew. When he’d begun to mumble and stir, Eli had slipped free and went into the kitchen to cobble together something that looked like lunch. It was only egg on toast, but it was food, and it gave him something to do with his hands. “I’m still pissed, you know,” he told Rob when he re-entered the bedroom with the tray. “Sit up.” “Wha’?” Rob asked blearily. “At you.” “Oh.” A jaw-cracking yawn, and Rob finally sat up. “Why?” Eli stared. “Are you kidding me, Rob?
