CHAPTER ELEVEN I did as the wisp bid and hurried along after him. Glick’s soft lantern-light illuminated the area around us, though not much further beyond where we walked. He swayed from side to side with his lantern swinging in time with his body. “So are there other wisps around here?” I asked of my guide. His shoulders drooped and his lantern dipped a little. “No. Not anymore.” There was something in his voice that made my heart ache. “Why not?” He shook his head. “All gone. The magic is leaving this place.” I cast a curious look around us. “So, the other wisps like more magical places?” Again, there was the forlorn posture of my guiding light. “Not that.
