Chapter 36: Enchantment
Avery finally reached the top of the stairs, and The Cavity opened before him. His line of sight immediately focused on the yellow-golden lamp near the sofa within the center of the open space. Next to the lamp, leaning back on the sofa, his legs positioned ever so slightly parted, sat Judd Maxx, who had set his view on Avery, smiling.
Judd immediately said, “It’s been too long without you in my life, Avery. Granted, the physical time has only been approximately four weeks, but it’s felt like eons for me.”
