Chapter 25: Amy Avery woke up the next morning realizing that he had become a single man, no longer dating Judd Maxx, and lacking any attention from a man, including his brother who slept in. Amy was up and bushy-tailed, though, preparing coffee in a pink nightie. Snow and wind blew against the condo’s many windows, preventing Templeton from thawing. Avery stretched and yawned on the sofa. “Morning, sunshine,” Amy said, placing two ceramic mugs with animated smiley faces on a breakfast bar. One mug read Happy to Be Alive, and the other one read Wheels Keep on Turning. She filled both mugs with coffee and told Avery, “Come over here and sit with me. I made us some brew.” Neither of them looked like beauty queens as they sat across from each other at a bar in the kitchen and enjoyed talk
