The Queen of the Hybrid

Chapter Eleven

This chapter will be from Abigail's point of view.

'On my second day of actual training I am actually quite calm. But I have only one more question. Mom said I can be intimate with anyone as long as I close my mind link. I wonder if my mate will also have to be a hybrid? But how can this be right I am the only one of my sort. That might be why dad looked so broken-hearted. I hope this is not the case but Grace will tell me when my mate is within my reach. Dad said that it would feel like an explosion in my heart. In a good way and this made me smile. He spoke so fondly of mom and mom of him. They really do love one another and I understand after today why they both did what they did. They sent me away for my own safety and they both apologized for this. I could see it was the hardest decision they ever had.' I laid down on the bed and before I even hit the pillow I was sleeping like a bear in hibernation.

When I woke up the next morning I was well rested. I jumped up out of bed energized and ready for the day. I rushed through the shower my tummy growling. Grace made an enormous difference in my appetite. Smiling I stand under the cascading water and wash my body. I finished my shower and got out. I smiled at myself in the mirror and that is when I saw them. They are really sharp but the prettiest thing in my new look that I could never even have asked for. I quickly brushed my teeth and got dressed.

When I came into the dining hall there was a loud roar, "Surprise!!!!" everyone in the dining hall yelled and I had the biggest smile on my face. Fangs showing and all. Marley, Johnathan, Peter, Samantha and Charles were there with her mother, father and Lance were there. "We thought we would celebrate your birthday before your actual birthday." Marley said a little too loud, but everyone was chatting about. I could not believe my eyes. I was so happy to see everyone here. Johnathan was looking at Marley differently. "Looks like you have an admirer." I told Marley nudging towards Johnathan. Who by the way only smiled towards Marley and she blushed. "I have to tell you something Abi. Umm... We. Are. Dating." she said hesitant. Not sure of my reaction I think.

"AAAAHHHHH... I am so excited." I shouted before thinking and the whole room went silent. "When did this happen?" I continued after everyone went back to their conversations. "This has actually been going on for about 3 months now. But he only asked me yesterday." Marley said a little disappointed at herself for not telling me a believe. "I am sorry that I did not tell you Abi. You were so distracted these past few months." she continued. "Oooh Marley. Don't stress about it I am so happy for you. Oh. By the Way. How long are you guys staying?" I asked her hugging her tightly. Marley said that they will be staying here in the castle until the day after my coronation. I am so excited and we chatted the entire day.
