REIJI ERICKSON VEYNAR’S POV
I was still sprawled on the bed, one arm tucked behind my head, my chest rising and falling slowly as I watched her move around the room.
Tahimik niyang kinuha ang damit niyang nagkalat sa sahig. At isa-isa niya iyong isinuot sa mismong harapan ko. Mas natuwa pa ako kasi sobrang ingat at dahan-dahan ng bawat galaw niya. Animo'y sinasadya niya iyon dahil alam niyang pinapanood ko siya.
And every sway of her hips felt intentional, like a silent provocation.
My eyes followed her shamelessly. And I smirked when I got the full and clearer view of her a*s.
“Has anyone ever told you,” I said lazily, my voice still rough, “that you’re ridiculously blessed?”
She paused, glancing at me over her shoulder, one brow lifting in amusement.
"Blessed how, exactly?” she asked in a playful tone.
Ngumisi ako. At napakagat-labi.
“You know exactly how.” My gaze flicked pointedly at that part of her body. “That body should be illegal.”
Mahina itong natawa. Umiiling pa habang isinuot ang muling tela na hawak niya.
"Just wow.." she said. "That's how you talk right now?" she teased. “Confident, huh?”
I chuckled. “Just being honest.” I shifted slightly on the bed, propping myself up on one elbow. “I consider myself extremely lucky.”
She turned fully toward me this time, arms crossing over her chest, eyes glinting. “Lucky?”
“Yeah,” kalmadong sambit ko. “Not everyone gets the privilege of touching something like that," I added. Eyeing her body, theb winked at her.
Slowly, she walked closer, stopping right beside the bed, looking down at me with a slow, wicked smile.
“Careful, Reiji,” pabulong niyang sambit. “You’re starting to sound like you’re bragging.”
Gumalaw ako... inilapit ko ang aking mukha sa kanya at agad na pinakawalan ang isang nakakalokong ngiti.
"And what if I am, Valerie? Would you do something about it?" paghahamon ko.
She leaned in just enough to tap my chest with her finger. “Just don't forget... how lucky you are because I allowed it.”
I laughed, catching her wrist before she could pull away. “Fair enough. I’ll give you that.”
Her smile softened for just a second before she gently freed her hand.
"Mag bihis kana," utos niya at muli akong tinalikuran. “You can’t stay there forever.”
I exhaled, still watching her like she was a dangerous addiction. “You sure?” I teased. “I look pretty comfortable.”
She just rolled her eyes, but the curve of her lips gave her away. “Enjoy it while it lasts.”
Then, she took a few steps toward the door… but suddenly she stopped.
Natigilan ako at pinanood lamang siya. At ngayon ay nakaupo na ako sa dulong bahagi ng kama at naghihintay kung ako ang susunod niyang gagawin.
At ilang sandali lang ay umikot siya paharap sa akin. Nagkatitigan kami at wala namang siyang ibang reaksyon.. Basta't nakita ko lang siyang ngumiti at kasunod niyon ay humakbang siya pabalik.
Papalapit sa akin.
Hindi ako gumawa ng kahit anong galaw at nakatingin lang talaga sa kanya. Hanggang sa huminto na siya sa mismong harapan kom
She's too close to me, close enough that I could feel her presence, her warmth.
Then, her gaze dropped briefly to my lips before lifting back to my eyes.
Then she leaned down.
And her lips brushed mine in a brief, gentle peck, a soft, unhurried and a deliberate kiss.
Ngunit hindi na iyon tumagal pa at inilayo niya ang kanyang mukha sa akin. At nakasunod pa rin sa kanya ang aking tingin.
"A goodbye kiss," she murmured.
Before I could reply, she straightened up, turned around once more, and headed for the door, leaving me there, staring after her, knowing damn well…
That kiss did more damage than anything else that night.

VALERIA SERRANO’S POV
The night air kissed my skin as I stepped away from the small house, my heels clicking softly against the gravel. Behind me, the faint silhouette of Reiji lingered at the doorway, still seated on the edge of the bed, watching me leave.
Unti-unti ay naramdaman kong muli ang pagkurba ng isang ngisi sa aking labi. At habang naglalakad ako ay muling bumalik sa isipan ko ang nangyaring pag-uusap namin ni Sovrano.
“I know you two… have been… intimate,” he had said, his voice low and measured.
"That’s good. Very good. You’ll have his trust, his attention… and that’s when you gather what you need.”
I remembered tilting my head, keeping my expression neutral, while his words sank in.
"Spy on him, Valeria.."
"Make him fall for you, and only then… when all is under control, I will let you decide what you want to do with him."
"It's either you kill him, or let someone else do it..."
At first, it seemed impossible. Reiji Erickson Veynar.. is sharp, disciplined, unshakable. He wasn’t the type to get played so easily. And yet, now, after what I did. I found out that he's weak.
He has a soft spot inside him. And that's the reason why it's fun... playing with him.
I let out a quiet chuckle as I adjusted the strap of my bag over my shoulder.
He was already too obvious. The way he looked at me, the subtle hesitation in his voice, the tension that tightened every time I smiled at him… it was working.
Everything I did is f*cking working.
Muli kong inalala ang ginawa ko kanina. Lahat ng kilos niya at kung paano niya ako hinayaang gawin ang lahat ng gusto ko sa kanya. At ni isang reklamo ay o komento ay wala akong narinig mula sa kanya.
He did just let me take the lead and keep him under control... wrapped around my fingers.
"This job... was too easy," I whispered under my breath.
It was thrilling, dangerous… and satisfying. Every move, every glance, every whispered word had brought him a little closer to me. Closer to trusting me. Closer to letting his guard down.
And soon… very soon… he wouldn’t know what hit him.
For now, though, I needed to let him think it was all genuine. Let him think it was just passion, just chemistry. Let him believe that I was his… and only then would the Sovrano’s plan truly begin.
I took another step forward, the shadows of the night stretching behind me, my mind already calculating my next move.
He’s falling. And when the time comes… he won’t even see it coming.
"Sayang ka, Agent Veynar.... Humihina ka pagdating sa babae...." muling sambit ko sa kawalan at pumasok na sa loob ng aking kotse.
Binuhay ko ang makina at hindi na naghintay pa ng matagal at mabilis na pinaharurut ang sasakyan papalayo sa lugar na iyon.
The cold, satisfied thrill ran through me as I disappeared into the darkness, leaving the night and Reiji... behind.
