"The young miss was still inside!" a servant cries.

"What my sister is still inside? Someone please save my sister!" I hear my stepsister screaming. And I can't help but smile at her acting. It really is priceless.

My stupid father married a human after his mate passed away. This is where it got him dead. The b***h killed him and set the fire thinking I was still inside. Too bad for her I have a keen sense of smell, and the servant who just screamed that I was still inside is on my side.

I am the only heir to the Crystal Moon pack not to mention a multibillion dollar company. I have everything from the best schools to the best clothes to the best servant money can buy. Well had everything up until yesterday, when my stepmother told my father it was time for me to marry.

All my father did was laugh and say she will marry when she finds the perfect man. That was sixteen hours ago it is now 4:46 am.

I am now standing here in the shadows of the trees attempting to control my wolf as well as watching our manor burn, and watching the show before me.

"Someone please help her, help my daughter!" I see my stepmother faking tears on her knees.

'She deserves a nominee for best actress,' Robin my wolf said.

'Well I guess it is time for me to make my grand appearance,' I tell Robin.

'Let the acting begin,' she giggles.

'Let's show her how it is done,' I complete her sentence. I wrap my shawl around my shoulder and run towards the manor in a panic like state. "Mother! Sister!" I call them. They turn to look at me. A look of anger crosses there faces but is gone in a second.

"Oh my goodness! Thank the heavens you are safe!" My step mother runs to me and wraps me in a warm embrace.

I hug her back for a minute then pull away. "Mother where is daddy? What happened? Sister are you ok you're not hurt anywhere? Mother your not hurt either right?" I fire question after question at them.

"We're fine," she says. "But your father went back inside for you!"

"What? NO!" I collapse on the ground and begin crying. I began to get up and slowly walk towards the burning manor. I am about fifty yards away when it collapses. A strong arm pulls me out of the way just as the flames shoot out towards me. "Let me go! Let me go! Daddy!" I am no longer fake crying. Even though I know he was dead before the fire started, I had at least wanted something to bury. I cry harder until I pass out.

DAMON'S POV.

She was moaning in my arms she had just finished her second orgasm and I was about to plunge into her center when a knock came at the door.

"Al.... Sir! News from the pa... Company!" My Bata Dimitri said.

"This better be important I am in the middle of something!" I shout through the door.

"Upmost importance sir!" he says.

"Sorry sweetie we will have to finish some other time," I tell the women in my bed.

She gives a seductive smile "I don't mind finishing in front of him."

I smile back at her and gently caress her cheek before I roughly grab her hair. "Get lost!" I throw her on the floor.

She scrambles to grab her clothes and leaves. But not before bumping into Dimi.

"Whoa there sweetness no need to rush." he says.

She looks up at him and blushes then slaps him and runs off. I couldn't help but laugh. "Dimitri get in and shut the door," I tell him when I calm down.

"Alpha," he bows. "I have news from the pack elders as well as the Council."

I have already pulled on my pants and am now pouring me a glass of scotch on the rocks. "What news?" I ask.

"Do you remember the Alpha of the Crystal moon pack who married the human?" he asks.

"Yeah what about it," I say.

"About a week ago he died in a fire. The new Alpha is his only daughter Marina. She is also the only heir to the Lunar Corp. I hear her stepmother will be holding a party for her as a congratulations for taking over the company. Which brings me to why I am here," he pulls out a envelope.

"Hmm a invite to the party? Not go..."

"Before you finish that sentence take a closer look at the name of the sender," he interrupts me and shoves the envelope in my hand.

'Marina Belle Von Wolfert' the envelope read.

"I guess I will be attending this party after all," I open the envelope and read its contents: I invite all Alphas to help me catch a murder the winner will have me as his mate.

I am now intrigued. Let's see when is this party... two days from now 9:45pm Crescent moon hotel. Guess it's time to bring out that tux I have been saving. 'Mates sent is on the envelope, smells like roses strawberries and snow,' Rex said.
