"Stacey don't go too far.. remain around. It's a new place and you're new here" Brandon Stacey father yells in the yard with the little welcome party going on. They came for a vacation to Arlanco after Stacey constant whining to visit the place. Something inside her was urging her tempting her to visit the place. She had never known of the town before but on her nineteen birthday she felt a sudden pull towards a place she know nothing about. "Ok dad.. I'll just be umm.. around" Stacey felt uncomfortable to lie to her father. She wanted to explore around the town. The voice inside her calling out to her. Sometimes she felt she was abnormal. "Be home soon sweetheart. We're going to have a barbecue party tonight" He shouts back on top of the loud music playing in the backyard. The people gather around whispering, talking enjoying the small cozy back yard party. Her father friend in Arlanco host a small back yard party for them as a welcome gift. Trying to be a good host. But Stacey could not concentrate in the party despite their hospitality and politeness. The voice inside her head was desperately curious to find out about the strange feeling of the town. She search up in Google but found only very little information which was useless to her. Nothing was written nor its history, geography or the demography of the town was mention. Making it stand out oddly. "I'll be back soon.. I'll just see around" she walks out of the big wood house. The music getting faint as she walks further. Arlanco is a strange town but overwhelmingly peaceful and calm. There were very few people and not well developed but economically stable. She walks down the street passing every house makes of woods, with window glasses and remarkably beautiful in there own unique structural design. Everything felt strangely silent. Few car trucks pass down the road as she walks by. The town have very few shops nor big shopping malls or grocery store. Just the usual necessity grocery shops. While she was browsing searching up for the particular town she found one astonishing thing. The town does not appear on the map. The territory of the town how much it occupied. Where it is situated, it's population density, tourist spot nothing was mention. She roamed the part of the town how long her legs could carried her. She have no idea how much of the town she was able to explore. She found nothing different or abnormal to her instinct to quench her thirst. By late evening she reach the house they were staying. The barbecue party was already started when she arrived. "Stacey where were you? And do you know how long you had been out?" Her father immediately question her as soon as he saw her entering the house. He was worried for Stacey current state. "I was just by the park and I think I kind of lost time there. I'm sorry dad for worrying you" she was busy walking around she had no time to be lost in the park. And she did not even encounter any park she walks by. "Young lady you got a bad habit there just like your mother." He squints his eyes playfully scolding her. She smile back at him knowing he was not angry with her. Her mother died when she was twelve years old. Leaving her with her father and her older sister. Her father was devastated at that time but work hard for his two daughter. To provide them a beautiful life. To never let them experience the sadness and struggle of a single parenthood. "Come on go get change and come down. The main party would start soon. I want you to enjoy our few days here." He urge her shoo her away. Walking towards the backyard carrying some pack packets of meats. "Oh hello there Stacey. How is Arlanco? Are you comfortable?" Felix her father friend ask her entering into the house. A man in his early forties with a black hair, tall and muscular with an intimidating aura. "I don't know Mr Brown.." she murmur quietly looking away from his intimidating eyes studying her. "Oh come on only uncle Felix. It feels like we're stranger calling me Mr Brown and I feel like an eighty years old man" he tease jokingly " Hmm what is so confusing about that Stacey?" He inquired gesturing her to take a seat on the couch. She debate whether she should share with him but she don't want to burden him. Not anyone. She wants to take care of herself. She sigh glancing up at him. That was a big mistake. "It's strange.. everything. I wanted to visit this place so much that I could hardly wait for this trip. Like I would be complete.. I.. I don't know.. but though now I am here.. I still feel incomplete?" she shared her thought more like she was asking herself. Completely in a daze lost with her words. Felix stare at her taking in every details attentively like he was her psychiatrists. Giving an understanding nod like he understand what she was saying. Even when she herself don't know what she is saying. "Maybe you do are incomplete.." he whisper making Stacey stare up at him. His face stoic and serious not the warm friendly face seconds ago. "Excuse me?" Stacey mutter not understanding what he means. "You're missing the party here.. the delicious barbecue, the drinks.. you're an adult now? Arlanco is not your everyday favourite cafe Stacey where you can go and have a sip of your favourite latte any day you want. It's a place that exist once a time.." She could not understand what Felix was trying to say to her. Does he mean Arlanco would disappear like in fairytale? It appears to her that Felix might know what was going on with her. He might have a solution but why was he averting the question? Stacey could not understand. "Come on your dad will come searching for you. Go change and join us in the backyard. Stacey.. you'll be alright. It's just a matter of time" he smile at her making her feel like he was the solution to the voice inside her. She nods not understanding a single thing he mean. But she was polite. He listens to her and she was grateful for that. Felix watch as Stacey walks up the stairs. Her small body droop looking gloomy. He know what she was going through.. her symptoms was just like a wolf restless without their mates. Or about to find their mate. Even though she was a human. Human mating with werewolf was not new. There are humans pair up with werewolf for eternity. But it is a rare case and very rare. Out of 10% 0.05 % werewolves are pair with human mate. It was hardly accepted by a pack but there are laws to never separate a mate couple against their will. Rejection are the optional choice given to them to decide their fate. Severe punishment are inflicted separating a mate couple by force. Many hidden agenda take place behind close doors. Which remain unknown. "Felix is there a problem.. I can feel you're anxiousness as well as excitement in the bond." Marley his wife, his mate.. and his Luna came walking towards him eyeing him cautiously. A mate is the other half of a werewolf. Their soulmate as for human. The one whom they will spend their life time with. Devote oneself to the another. A bond is form to pull them closer. Once the mated pairs mate each other they could feel one another emotions either happiness, sadness, anger, anxiousness. A mate could feel their mate emotions once the bond is form. "No honey.. did I worried you?" He open his arm waiting for her to come to him. Kissing her head hugging her. "Suddenly I felt your anxiousness. All morning you were happy with Brandon visiting and I could only feel happiness. I was concern. Did anything happen?" She asked him softly soothing him. "It's nothing much. Stacey.. I think she might have a mate" he whisper not fully assured by himself. "Are you sure? Did she said anything" she inquired wanting to make sure before she gets excited and hopeful only to be disappointed later. "No. But what she was saying minutes ago it was the exact thing werewolf goes through before finding their mates. The anxiousness.. the confusion.. the incomplete feelings I can see everything in her eyes. She's lost right now" "That's a great news honey.. what are you waiting for. We have so many unmated males here. Oh I'll love to welcome her in our pack" Marley said excitedly loving the idea of Stacey finding a mate in their pack. "I know honey but she have no idea about us.. it will change her life" his eyes narrow looking deep in thought. "Don't underestimate the power of the bond. It can creates wonders.. miracles I say. Remember we weren't a willing mate before but.. what did the bond do to us" she say with a smile on her face remembering their past. They were both reluctant to be mated to one another. Reaching almost to the stage of rejection. But the bond spark and they could not dare think of rejection ever again. "Stacey is a very understandable girl. She's more mature than she appear. I'm sure she can handle it. I don't want any mate to go mateless just because we fear the unknown future" she gave her mate an assuring nod squeezing his hand. Showing him her support. "Yeah you're right.. I'll call all the unmated males here." He kiss her lips getting up. " All the unmated males in the pack to be present in today's backyard barbecue party at the alpha guest house. It's the Alpha order" he order using his alpha tone mind linking his beta. "Yes alpha" his beta respond back immediately. "Remember we have human guest. No shifting he say again his unspoken warning lying within the sentences. "Stacey you there?" Renee her older sister knock on her door. "Yeah.. come in" she shouts back getting dress. "Ready? I'm so excited for today's barbecue. I just saw a lot of hot guys in the back yard.. not just hot but incredibly hot" Stacey sigh rolling her eyes hearing her. Hot guys that's what she wanted to avoid. "I'm not in the mood. Let's go I'm hungry" she say walking towards the door. "That's not a very good dress for a party" Renee her elder sister sing talk following behind her. She was wearing a simple back slim jeans and a oversize hoody over her T-shirt, her fade to blonde hair tie in a pony tail. Renee was wearing a red knee dress which hug her slim body. Very appropriate for a backyard party. "I'm hungry" with a tired bored tone she replied back. Stacey doesn't care what she was wearing. The voice inside her had her exhausted. Making her mind go hazy. She just want to be curl up in a warm blanket and sleep off her anxiety. ~~~~^~~~~
