10. She Wolf

"You know I've never been this happy for the past years.. I'm glad I met you here" she whisper making Jared whimper in his wolf form with him in control.
"Are you sad for me? Don't be.. I'm not worth it.." she stroke his fur patting him. Her hand touching beneath his jaw to which he purr feeling contented.
"You like that" Stacey say stroking him more. Jared blush despite in his wolf form embarrassed he purr. She tease him again to which he purr more.
"Don't ever let anyone know about this" Jared say gritting the words out embarrass.
"Ever" Alex mumble back.
"I think I have to go now.. it's time. I'll be back again soon" Stacey say getting up. Jared whimper his ear droop watching his mate ready to leave.
"You can't always play that trick. I have to go back home.. I have people who would worry about me.. I promise I'll be back again hmm?" She hummed cupping his big head. He nod knowing she have to go back.
Stacey rides away not aware about the man watching her.
"Soon you'll be mine and you won't be leaving me ever again" Jared mutters watching her disappear behind the trees. He needs to settle the mess early only then he can be with her.

"Good morning Draco.." Stacey greets sitting besides him on the desk.
"Good morning Stacey. You're late" he say watching her through his thick glasses. She smile slightly.
"I think I over slept again" surprisingly for the past days Stacey was able to sleep peacefully. That she gets up late which does not happen normally for her.
"We got our project result. We got B+ not that good but still somehow good" he say shyly. Stacey nod.
"The credits to you not me.. I wasn't of help anyway" she shrug taking the paper from his hand.
"No.." he shouts making her startle.
"I mean.. you were a great help to me. I wouldn't have done this good with confidence. Thank you" he was glad to have her by his side. He could have never have the courage to do it alone.
"Umm. Thank you if you say so" she blush slightly. He was making it like he help out a lot. In fact she felt she did nothing.
The biology class went by. Stacey was glad to have Draco as her partner. He was not arrogant nor rude towards her. But treat her with respect like a true friend. He looks genuine to her.
"You've been tagging alone with that gloomy nerd so well" Mike comment eating his lunch. Stacey frown. That was rude.
"He's kind and good to mingle with. Why does everyone avoid him?" She ask stabbing the carrots on her plate lightly. Stacey loves raw vegetables and fruits.
"He have a weird vibe around him. I don't know how but I can't seems to stand around him.. like it's suffocating. I don't know but I just know it's really hard to be around him. He makes me feel uneasy.." Helen say goosebumps appearing on her skin just the mere thought of him.
"Stacey just be careful. Everything you're seeing now may not be what you think it is. There are always secret hidden behind every thing. I may not be me someday.. or you would someday view everything differently. It's just a matter of time" Helen say with a serious expression. What does she mean?
"She's saying don't be too curious everyone have a secret they want it hidden. Why make it so serious" Michelle chuckle glaring at Helen.
"Every secrets have a hidden beauty or a scar hidden behind it. Let's stop now let me tell you all the fresh gossips around here" Grace say changing the topic. Starting her gossips making Frankie her mate groans but hug her tightly.
Stacey chew on her carrots her mind somewhere far away. To the mysterious man with the most beautiful hazel pairs. Since the day he left fuming angrily she have not heard anything about him. Nor see him in school again.
She felt he was near all the time even though he disappeared into thin air. Like he never existed.

Stacey choose not to visit the woods today feeling drain mentally. Yesterday she went to meet Cookie only to find his usual spot empty. She waited for three hours for his return but much to her disappointment he did not turn up. She return back home feeling down.
She have no clue Jared was caught up in an attack leading him to be late. After killing the last rogue he sprung off immediately to meet his mate without even tending to his wounds. His right limb bleeding heavily from a bite. Which he doesn't care. He don't want her to be disappointed, sad to find him missing and never return again.
He would lose his sanity if she never returns back. She was her only sanity keeping him from shifting and killing every innocent life. The failed attempt to break off the engagement was enough trouble to be added to his work load pressure.
He pant running fast as his legs could. After running for an hour he reach the woods to find their meeting place empty. With a heavy heart he search around sniffing in his wolf form. Getting a faint smell of her scent indicating she was here. He lets out a loud painful howl not for his hurt limb but disappointing his mate.
Jared lay down breathing heavily scanning the ground. Under the foot of the tree he see two fresh packages of meats place on the ground. He whimpers sadly how long did she wait for him.
Crawling towards it he sniff laying down. His vision getting blurry. A painful whimper escape him feeling a fresh stinging pain on his limb. He licks it leaving it to heal. Blocking evey mind link trying to get through him. Some asking where he is. To get his wound treated.
But he know no one can find him. He knows how to mask his scent. Even his best tracker can't track him down. He drifted off to sleep. Tired and dizzy.
He woke up in the afternoon the next day all heal and good as new. But she did not come back. It went on for three days he waited but she never came back.
Every seconds, every minutes that ticks by while he waited for her. Feels like ages. It was painful. Not able to see her. He misses her every being, her talks, her smile, her silly innocent comments. For the first time he love being in his wolf form not for killing. But spending time with his mate without initiating a quarrel. Pissing and annoying each other.
He was meant to be a leader, taught to fight and lead with no emotions. As it would be a weakness. So to approach his mate in a gentle way he could not. It was something no one taught him. So foreign and new to him.
When he try to say something he blurt out another words. He never meant to. Annoying her.
"Jared why is mate not coming back? Let's go meet mate. I miss mate" Alex whimpers missing his mate. They stay for three days leaving all their works behind. Blocking everyone out. Wishing day and night she would come visit him.
"Let get our mate back" Jared say getting up.
"Alpha King we were worried about you. How are you injuries?" Cameron ask passing him a shorts standing in the entrance of the castle waiting for his Alpha King as soon as the warriors on guard inform him about his arrival.
"Get the cars ready in ten minutes we're going to the school" he say ignoring his questions.
"Jared there's a problem-" before he could finish his sentence the door open before they could open it.
Alex growls immediately. Trying to take control. He wants blood.
"Alpha King" Cameron say bowing down knowing Alex is coming out.
"What is this she wolf doing here? Haven't I warn you Beta?" He growls snapping at him. Pure anger evidence in his eyes.
"Alpha King welcome back" Phoebe greets him ignoring his cold dead glare. Unfazed by his dislike towards her. She was strong that glare and hatred can't defeat her.
"Son.. you're back. Phoebe was worried about the attack. She was kind enough to come check on you.." his mother smile standing besides Phoebe staring at him with a warm smile.
"Let's get inside. You came at the right time. You two are really fated to be together" Phoebe smirk slightly annoyed with her tone. She wouldn't care less.
Alex growls blocking him out. Jared sigh annoyingly knowing he can't get to the school.

"Livy.. come here.. let's get you dry" Stacey cooed with a warm towel on her hand. Calling for her small white puppy.
It arrived three days ago since then taking up all her time.. her strength. Mentally and physically exhausting her. It was not easy raising a puppy on her own. Not even a minute could she leave it alone. One second he would be sitting on her bed the next she turn away he would be biting her doll or her shoe.
"I don't want you catching a cold.. you wouldn't want an injection right?" She say rubbing him dry.
"What would cookie be doing? He must be alone.. even hungry" she muters combing his short fur. With the arrival of her puppy she could not adjust her time to meet cookie. She wanted to leave it in the house but Livy barks and snarled with anyone trying to approach her. So it was hard.
"Let's get you in bed" Stacey puts him down on his warm mattress in his basket with his Kong toy and chuckit rubber ball toy.
Stacey woke up the next morning ready for school. She planned to visit Cookie after class. Leaving Livy with Tom. They unexpectedly gets alone.
Would it be waiting for her? Did it shift to another woods? Did he get caught by hunters.. no he can't be. Cookie looks big and scary but he is harmless. If people finds out about him he would be taken for experiment or business. He is a rare species.
She tap her feet impatiently sitting inside the classroom wanting to confirm by herself if he is alright.
"Hey Stacey tonight's there a small party at Frankie's wanna join?" Grace Frankie girlfriend ask Stacey.
"Thank you but I've plans already" she say smiling apologetically.
"Is it important to like skip it..?" Grace ask again wanting her to be present in the party.
"I'm sorry but it's really important.." she nod understanding starting another topic.

Stacey hurried out of the classroom immediately after bell. The earlier she gets to meet Cookie she will be at ease. She stop walking staring at the man standing infront of her. She exhale calmly. Not in the mood for another useless spoiling mood bickering.
"Miss Melon you're staying back for detention. Of course it's about the previous which you failed to stay back" a man besides him said. It wasn't her but him who couldn't stay back.
"That was not me.." she mutters.
"Please be cooperative Miss Melon we'll appreciate that if we don't waste each time" he say again giving her a stern look. She frown.
"Alpha King I'll take my leave now. I'll be at your service anytime" the headmaster say leaving them alone in the hallway. With no one around.
"I thought you've forgotten about everything.. isn't this a little childish" her eyebrows frown showing clearly she was annoyed. Jared sigh at his mate straightforward attack.
He just misses her. Worried how she is doing.
"I have work to do. I need to meet someone important.. can't you just let me go?" She ask softly.
Jared jaws clench fisting his hands tightly. She did not come visit him because she was meeting someone else? While he waited for her everyday.
"Someone important more important than me?" He mutters under his breathe. Stacey frown not able to catch him.
"Additional minutes would be added with every minutes wasted in vain.." his voice rough and low sounding cold and distant. Stacey felt uneasy in her heart with the cold distant tone of his voice.
