Chapter SevenSea Scope Julie woke with a start. Light rain was drumming against her window, but that's not what woke her. A melody drifted from downstairs, a sad song that brought a memory along with the scent of grits and eggs. Then she remembered her first guest had arrived a day early and was most likely taking on the task of making breakfast. She got out of bed, donned her robe and slippers, and followed the humming and aroma to the kitchen. Wanda was dressed and standing at the stove cooking, her long dark braid bobbing to the music.
