Carolyn looked a bit concerned, and as I got up from the table, she asked if everything was okay. I told her I was tired from traveling the day before and the events of the previous night. She nodded and said she would be working on the next Kit Kat book on the patio for a few hours. She was somewhat disappointed when Russell said he'd love to join her but had other plans for the day.
