The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across my private study as I lifted the carved wooden mug of rare mountain herb tea to my lips. Its earthy aroma filled my senses before I took a careful sip.
"Has Gareth Rivers returned to the central territory?" I asked.
When I'd ordered the elaborate celebration for Luna Elara's birthday, I'd also dispatched enforcers to urgently summon her father back to the pack territory.
"Yes, Alpha King," Cedric replied with a slight bow. "He's already reunited with his family at the Rivers residence, and tomorrow morning he will arrive early to offer his congratulations on the Luna's birthday."
