Lord Robber Bartley had been kicked out of the hunting team by Lord Darius Brioc. He was banned from the group because his arrow had been found in the chest of Duke Ardolf, father of Lady Lilli.
Someone had stolen his special arrow and used it to kill the duke. When they found the duke, Lord Darius immediately removed the arrow.
"Who owns this arrow?" King Umberto asked wrathfully.
"I own that arrow but I didn't kill the duke!" Lord Robber argued before the king.
"The evidence is real. Your arrow had pierced the duke's heart. You are thereby ousted as a member of this group!"
Lord Robber was unceremoniously booted out of their quarters, things and all.
After a century, he could still hear their laughter. The loudest was Lord Darius' pompous guffaw.
