Prince Arvinson did not make an appearance that day. Lysandra was expecting him to be at the table when she put food for everybody.
There was only Queen Lilli and Alena.
"I thought I am cooking for four to six persons," Lysandra asked wonderingly. "Where is everybody?"
Alena glanced at Queen Lilli before she replied.
"Chay worked in his room because you are afraid of, er, the talking head. And the two brothers, Brat and Corn, are plain shy."
"What about, um, P-prince Arvinson?" She flushed when she mentioned the prince.
"Arvinson is busy at his laboratory. He will come out when he is hungry," Queen Lilli informed her serenely.
She prepared thin crepes. They were served with gooey syrup. For the men, who had larger appetites, she cooked a pot of rabbit stew and a large bowl of rice
