Bart the Horse died of old age. Chay grieved over its death again just like he did over the death of Bart the Pony. Prince Avner patted Chay's back gently. "Bart the Horse is in heaven now," he murmured comfortingly. "I can't help it," he cried brokenly. "I'll miss Bart!" Dico was pouring hot herbal tea in a mug. He offered it to Chay wordlessly. Prince Avner accepted the tea. "Thank you," he mouthed silently. He hovered the mug in front of Chay's face. "Drink your tea." Dico had put the rabbit into the ancient oven to roast. He was trained by Chay with all the other house chores, including cooking. Dico had been with them for months now. Even Master Ammad was impressed with Dico's diligence. "The kid is indispensable. He can grow big lettuce!" the master exclaimed with excitement.
