Achilles stormed out of the room with Mel calling after him.
“Henry, Cal, Javier. Bring Mel to her room and make sure she stays there.”
“Yes, Alpha,” they all replied.
Achilles switched his mindlink to Bentley.
Come to my office. Now. And bring your mate.
Yes, Alpha.
His mind was boggled at the proper response before he realized how much power he had put into the command. He couldn't even think about anything other than protecting her.
Achilles picked out the phone from his desk and the paper from his pocket. His wolf growled at the sight of it and Achilles could feel his grip tighten on the phone.
Before he ruined it, he dialed the number.
"Alpha Achilles, I should have known you would be the one to call."
Achilles growled lowly, "Shut your worthless mouth and listen. I am going to find the rat you have planted and when I do expect me to have your head on a platter next."
Achilles heard a chuckle come over the line, "Ahhhh, the old Alpha Achilles is coming back."
It was like the blood started rushing in Achilles' body again as his wolf became hungry again, "You'd better be ready for what you just f*****g started."
The phone smashed into a million tiny pieces as Achilles' fist closed.

Mel screamed at the men holding her door closed. She banged and shouted until her fists were bloody and her voice was raw.
She and Achilles had finally started to make progress and now it was all gone. Swept up like it was never even there in the first place. After all, she had told him and all she had been through she thought she finally had somebody she could rely on.
Mel's brain lit up as she realized she still had the phone in her room. She could call Jax. Mel ran over to the phone and picked it up. She saw that the line was connected.
Mel pressed the green button and put the phone up to her ear.
"-I am going to find the rat you have planted and when I do expect me to have your head on a platter next."
Mel quickly muted the phone when she heard Achilles' voice. What was he talking about? And who was he talking to?
"Ahhhh, the old Alpha Achilles is coming back."
Mel felt a weight drop in her stomach. Were the rumors about Achilles true?
"You'd better be ready for what you just f*****g started."
The line went dead. Mel immediately dialed Dark Fang Pack and prayed the call still went through Jax's phone.
"Please Moon Goddess. Please throw me a bone."
The phone rang twice before Jax picked up, "Hello? Who is this?"
Jax's voice sounded rushed and confused.
"Jax, it's Mel. I need your help. Achilles has me trapped in my room and the guards won't let me out. and he just made a phone call to somebody, saying some horrifying things."
"I'm on my way to his office with Bentley right now, I'm not sure I can not go. Hearing what your saying makes me positive he will kill me if I ditch."
Mel felt frustration edge back up her, "I don't care, Jax! I need your help!"
"I get it."
The line went dead once again, and Mel sighed. It didn't seem like Jax was rushing to get to her.
Her wolf growled and pushed to come out. She was just about to let her wolf come out when the door opened.
Jax appeared and sat next to Mel on the ground.
"I told Bentley to make sure Achilles didn't do anything stupid. What did he say over the phone?"
"He was talking to some guy and he said he was going to find the rat in the pack. He said he was gonna kill the guy he was talking to," Mel cringed. "The guy said something about the old Achilles and then Achilles said the guy better be ready for what he started."
"Did you say the old Achilles, Mel?"
Mel nodded hesitantly.
"You know the rumors, right Mel?"
Mel nodded again.
"Then you know if Bentley lets him get out right now he is going to kill. And if he kills it isn't going to stop. He isn't going to be able to make himself stop. His wolf is going to get a taste and it's going to be unstoppable."
"But we don't know that all of that is true?" Mel said.
"Mel! It has to be! The rumors, and Circes, and what you just told me? Every rumor had some truth to it. We can't let Achilles leave.
Bentley? Mel mindlinked both him and Jax. Make sure you don't let Achilles leave.
In that mind link, she tried something she had never done before. She put a command into it. She figured that Achilles had most likely issued one of his own as well.
Y-yes Luna.
That proved her point. Now Mel needed to get to Bentley before Achilles' commands won over hers.
With a heavy feeling on her chest, Mel walked over to the door of the room where Jax had just entered. She prepared to put the same command in her voice as last time.
"Let me out," she demanded.
"We-we can't, Luna," said a strained voice.
Fury burned in her eyes, she was getting through the door one way or another. She didn't care how strong of a command Achilles had given them.
"You will let me through this door now, or so help me Moon Goddess your life will end."
"Yes, Luna," a chorus gritted out.
Mel roughly grabbed Jax's hand and pulled him through the halls at her top speed. Achilles had better still be in that room.
When Mel made it to the doorway the door busted open with a furious Achilles coming out. She set her body into a sturdy position and glared at him. Bentley could be seen behind him with a large black eye, which just served to make Mel angrier at her mate.
"Where are you going?" Mel asked.
Achilles narrowed his eyes at the contact between her and Jax. He let out a warning growl.
"Who the f**k let you out? Jax?" He said viciously.
"She let herself out, Alpha"
Jax was forced into compliance by Achilles' state. If he did anything out of line at the moment Achilles would surely kill him. Which was half the reason he stood staring at Bentley's eye with a violent disposition.
"You can't hide me away and pretend this isn't about me."
"Yes, I can," Achilles said gruffly.
Mel slowly stalked forward until we were barely a foot apart. She glared into his dark eyes with my own. Me was challenging him. Her wolf didn't like it, but she knew it had to be done to protect her mate.
"I am not going to let you go."
"Yes, you will," He growled out in a malformed voice.
Mel had one last option. One that she knew would go terribly for her and possibly Jax. But at the moment she wasn't worried about two people when it was compared to hundreds.
I am sorry. Please don't be mad.
Jax and Bentley looked at her in confusion. She quickly aided their confusion as she grabbed Jax by his face and kissed him hard. It felt disgusting and wrong.
The growl that left Achilles was nothing short of a din.
"Run the other way!" She shouted.
Mel bolted into Achilles' office and he followed on her heels before he smashed her into the wall. She watched as Bentley shut the door and began to barricade it.
Achilles growled darkly, his eyes were darker than he had ever seen them. This had to be Cain now.
"Mine," he snarled dangerously.
Mel rolled her eyes.
"Mine," he growled louder.
When Mel didn't answer his grip tightened on her until it hurt. There was no way she would tell him though. Instead, she lengthed her nails and stuck them into his arms. He didn't flinch, but Mel could see the blood.
"Say or mark."
"I am not going to talk to you when you are like this. Whether you like it or not I did what I had to do to get you to stop."
He shrugged, "Okay, mark."
"If you do that I promise you I will never speak to you or Achilles ever again."
Cain growled and let me go, "Why kiss? Like me."
Mel bit her lip, this wasn't entirely Cain's fault. He was just trying to protect her.
"Cain, I do like you. I only kissed Jax because Achilles was going to go and kill people. Not that you were going to stop him, Cain."
"Cain gave her a hard look, "Protect."
Mel sighed, "No Cain. You don't go and kill somebody to protect me-"
Cain growled, "Yes!"
"No," Mel said firmly. "I've heard the rumors about the both of you. Once you kill you can't stop. I will not be mated to a killer. I can overlook your past and I have. But I will not let you both do it again."
"B- protect- ho-" He growled of frustration. He didn't have the words to convey what he meant.
"Cain," Mel said softly. "I need Achilles back."
Cain growled ferociously and put Mel on the couch. He continued to growl and Mel could hear popping and snapping.
Mel's own wolf pushed to come out and Mel knew that it was the best course of action. Mel took the backseat as her wolf pushed forward.
She watched her wolf walk over the Cain and put a hand on him.
"Yours."
Cain purred in approval and Mel's wolf started growling and purring back. They were talking in wolf language now. Mel could make out only some of what they were talking about. Mostly Cain claiming her and her wolf letting him.
At some point, Mel lost track and just let them talk until her wolf let her know that they were both giving control back. Mel sighed in relief but was also a bit nervous. She had to talk to Achilles now.
She quickly pushed her consciousness to the front. Her eyes opened and met Achilles' instead of Cain's. They both looked at each other for a while, at a complete loss for words.
"I should have told you," Achilles said.
Mel looked at him. His clothes were ripped in some places and his hair was a tornado. She was sure she didn't look much better. They were a hot mess. They both just wanted so badly to protect each other there was nothing they wouldn't do for each other.
"I just want you to be safe, Achilles. Going out with no plan is not going to help us. You can't let your emotions or Cain control you."
"I know that. I know that" he said. "I've spent so long practicing control, but as soon as it came to you it was like all of it was out the window. All that was left was the urge to make sure you were safe no matter what."
Mel stepped forward and hugged Achilles tightly. She could feel him relaxed and she stuck his nose into her hair.
"This isn't something we can rush into Achilles. The first thing we need to do is figure out who the rat is."
Achilles let go of her, "And then I get to torture the information out of them. That is the compromise."
Mel cautiously sighed, "Fine."
Achilles tightened his fists, "I want you to know that there will come a time that you can't stop me, Mel. If anybody ever hurts you, I will kill them. I won't let you stop me by kissing Jax."
He growled after that sentence. So this was easy mode?
"No you won't," she said simply.
He growled and his eyes darkened again.
"I'm done talking about his Achilles. I need to go talk to Bentley and Ja-"
Before I could finish my sentence Achilles put his lips on mine aggressively. It took a minute before I kissed him back. I was still furious at him, but his lips on mine were f*****g intoxicating. I tugged his hair harder than necessary before tearing out lips apart.
He growled softly.
"Jax and Bentley are coming here along with a couple of warriors and we are making a plan. And you are going to sit next to me."
I could sense the subtle command in his voice. Not cool.
"Fine. Then you are apologizing to Bentley for hurting him and Jax for hurting his mate."
Achilles clenched his jaw, "Maybe."
I glared at him, "Then maybe I'll sit next to Jax."
"Mine," he growled.
"Not until you behave."
"I am going to mark you right here if you don't stop."
"Talk to somebody that you can command then," Mel commented.
