Thorne's POV “Alpha, if you’re going to do it, you have to hurry,” the doctor said urgently, his voice low and tense. His eyes flicked toward the emergency room door. “She doesn’t have much time.” ‘Why the f**k are you hesitating?’ Scar roared inside my head, furious and frantic. ‘She's dying! Do it!’ I stood frozen for a split second, heart slamming against my ribs. Marking her meant something permanent. A bond. A connection I’d sworn I wouldn’t make. But the image of Elara lying cold and bloody in my arms flashed through my mind. Her pale face. The silver poison eating her alive. The doctor stepped closer, voice low and fast. “By marking her, your wolf will connect with hers. The bond can push the silver poison out and speed up her healing. It’s her best chance. Maybe her only one.”
