Elara's POV My eyes fluttered open slowly. Everything felt…wrong. My body didn’t feel like mine anymore. There was this strange, tingly pull deep inside me, like something else was sharing my skin. My wolf felt closer, stronger, but also tangled with something…someone else. It scared me. I sat up carefully, wincing at the stiffness in my muscles. My shoulder didn’t hurt like it should. The rogue attack flashed in my mind—the claws, the poison, the cold ground. Moonlight slipped through the open window, casting soft silver light across the room. I turned my head and froze. Thorne was there, sitting in a chair pulled right up to the bed. His dark hair was messy, broad shoulders slumped forward, head resting on his arms on the mattress.
